The KM 105 range: Revolutionising ride-on sweeping.

The new KM 105 range from Kärcher features a host of new innovations that rewrite the rule book for ride-on sweepers. New concepts like the main brush position, operator-specific control system, eco!efficiency mode, Power Plus battery boost system and centrally-positioned side brush combine to make the KM 105 the most sophisticated sweeper available, ultimately resulting in lower running costs, increased safety and greater productivity.

1 New levels of sweeping performance The revolutionary new side-sweeping brush makes sweeping around bends and in corners much easier and quicker. Conventional sweeper layouts leave a trail of dirt behind when the sweeper is turned, resulting in multiple passes being required. The new side brush leaves no dirt behind, even in tight turns, and raises and lowers automatically. Standard on UK models.

N For the first time on a ride-on sweeper, the main roller brush is situated between the rear wheels. This gives much better ground clearance than conventional set-ups and reduces the wheelbase of the machine, giving greater manoeuvrability. When combined with the new side-sweeping brush, the new layout enables corners to be swept in one pass, dramatically improving sweeping results and reducing time.

N The new Teach system automatically adjusts the main brush pressure to allow for wear, ensuring superb cleaning performance throughout the life of the brush.

N The Power Plus system automatically provides an 11% power increase to the petrol or diesel engine to enable steep gradients to be climbed easily.

N Kärcher’s Tact filter system has provided vacuum cleaner users with many advantages for several years. Now on a sweeper for the first time, the Tact system automatically cleans the filter, therefore maintaining high filtration performance at all times.

This also enables the use of a very small filter that is low cost and very quick to replace. A new nano coating gives the filter an extremely long service life.

2 Easy operation The machine’s intuitive controls make operation and training simple to master. All functions are either automated or controlled by the touch of a button. Kärcher’s unique KIK system puts supervisors in control by enabling them to set individual operator parameters including language (17 to choose from), speed and brush pressure, increasing operator confidence.

4 Safety The KM 105 has many safety features as standard, from the automatic stop-start system to the seat switch to the twohanded hydraulic lift controls. The KIK system provides a choice of operating languages and can regulate speed for different operators. Superb all-round visibility and extremely small turning circle (less than 2m) further increase safety for the operator and workplace.

3 Cost saving Kärcher’s unique eco!efficiency mode reduces brush wear and power consumption as well as noise, and is perfect for areas that are cleaned regularly. The KIK system enables supervisors to control running costs, and the easy access to maintenance parts reduces the requirement for a specialist engineer to carry out regular maintenance tasks. The new Teach brush system automatically adjusts the main sweeping brush to allow for wear.

Automatic stop-start reduces unnecessary engine idling when the machine is temporarily stationary.

5 Easy servicing Tool-free access to all maintenance areas, including engine bay, main brush and filters. The filters can be accessed from the clean side and removed without tools.
