Good to know…

When it comes to marketing, you may find that it has a lot of similarities to retailing. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing as, if you’re fluent in retailing to your clients, you’ll know the basics! Either way, here are some important things to know about marketing.

Website

A good quality website is a staple for a business in any industry, let alone dog grooming. Be sure to include the latest up-to-date info so that your clients can find you easily find you online and, hopefully, find out more information about yourselves! Good imagery is a must, as well as contact info and business hours. Make it a one-stop shop for everything your clients would want from your business!

Quality content

Speaking of good imagery for your business, you don’t want your clients to find your socials through your new, fantastic website only for them to see some poorly-edited imagery which may allow them to think that the quality they’ll receive is poor. Do some research, find out how to make your pages “pop” and really demonstrate to them what you’re capable of. Make them want to come and see you!

Social media ads

Now, you’ve got your website and you’ve got your quality imagery and info online. Great! The next step is to pump it out into the world for all to see. Facebook, Twitter and Instagram ads are a fantastic way to boost your audience reach! You can even target who you want to see the ads on some platforms, so really make sure that you let everyone in your local area that you’re open for business.

Ambassadors

One thing that we’re seeing more and more of lately is dog groomers working with bigger companies for a mutual amount of promotion for each side. See if any of your favourite brands are looking for people to stock their products and share info online. You never know what amazing opportunities can come from this, all you need to do is get in touch with a company and ask. Simple!

Work with influencers

On the flipside of becoming an ambassador, you may even want to have your own. Reach out to some online influencers within the dog grooming world and see if they would consider working with you to promote your business. You never know who is about to explode online, so keep your options open!
