e are pleased to bring you the 2021–2022 edition of the Little Miami River Chamber Alliance Membership Directory and Business Resource Guide. It is our pleasure to continue to partner with Cincinnati’s premier directory and magazine publisher, Cincinnati Magazine, to provide this valuable publication to the community. We hope you ﬁnd it resourceful and informative. The Little Miami River Chamber Alliance serves businesses and residents in the City of Loveland, Miami Township, Symmes Township, and surrounding areas. Many new and exciting businesses continue to make Loveland, Symmes, and Miami Townships their home with no sign of slowing down. Loveland will be home of the 2022 Homerama Home Show showcasing a new subdivision just outside of downtown. A new parking garage will be constructed in the downtown area to alleviate parking issues. The Loveland Commerce area is thriving with nearly full capacity and expanded building growth. Loveland-Madeira Road will become an economic improvement area. The Little Miami River Chamber Alliance serves as the leading advocate for the businesses we serve. We are pleased to serve as business leaders in our communities by providing trainings, community and business events, and many ways for businesses to connect to not only one another but with our residents. New development in our region offers a lot to look forward to!

LOVELAND Residential Development The Chimney Ridge subdivision, on Butterworth Road in the Warren County portion of the city, will begin construction during spring 2021. The development will include 30 new single-family homes, and will host the 2022 Homerama. A 25-unit Zicka Homes condominium development along State Route 48 will include sidewalks for pedestrian accessibility into the downtown business district.

Commercial In early 2021, the city will complete its comprehensive plan and focuses on the redevelopment of the Loveland-Madeira Road business corridor. The city’s Commerce Park continues to thrive with only two vacant sites. In 2021, McCluskey Chevrolet will expand its headquarters there. To continue the growth of the downtown business district, the city will construct a 280-space parking facility that will include access onto State Route 48, offering a new access point into the downtown business district.

Infrastructure In 2021 the city will commence the repair of a longstanding hillside slippage problem with the Broadway Stabilization project, which includes construction of a drilled soldier pile retaining wall, with plugs to repair the roadway slide. The project is funded through a 50/50 grant and loan from the Ohio Public Works Commission (OPWC). The city also received a 50/50 grant and loan from OPWC for repairs to a collapsed storm drainpipe on Miamiview Drive. Also in 2021, the city will begin construction on a new public works

building at its Loveland-Madeira Road facility. SYMMES TOWNSHIP Residential Development Symmes offers an excellent school system and zero earnings tax to residents. Four new subdivisions offer amazing housing options. Residents enjoy community events throughout the year in more than 197 acres of sprawling park space. Infrastructure Paving programs are ongoing, with a focus on curb and sidewalk replacement and additions. Bridge replacement, water line, and storm water lines are planned improvements over the next year. Park improvements will offer updated rental locations as well as playground and trail updates. Touchless park restroom facilities

were recently added to keep everyone as safe as possible. Business The past years have seen over a dozen new businesses come into the Township. Medical offices, home mortgage businesses, and exciting new restaurants continue to choose Symmes as their home. MIAMI TOWNSHIP Residential Development Miami Township boasts the 13th most populated township in Ohio and is home to 30,000 jobs. New homes in the $350,000– $800,000 range are currently under construction in six subdivisions. New patio home and apartment developments are now open, and a condominium development will break ground in 2021.

Infrastructure Several park, street, and sidewalk improvement projects and additions are planned for 2021. Business Six of the largest privately-owned businesses in the region are in Miami Township. New restaurants recently or soon to be opened include Wings & Rings, the Miamiville Trailyard, and locally-owned All Hail the Biscuit. Additional medical and retail development is in the pipeline for construction this year.

n terms of entertainment and recreation, this area has it all...and then some. Patrons of the arts will appreciate Loveland Stage Company, a local troupe that has been entertaining audiences with popular musicals and shows since 1980. History buffs, meanwhile, can learn about all things Loveland at the Love-

land Museum Center, which features a decked-to-the-nines Victorian house complete with 19th century furniture, decor, and artifacts. But the pièce de résistance in this area is Château Laroche. This authentic, full-scale castle was built brick by brick by Cincinnati native Harry Andrews. He began construction in 1929 and spent the next 50 years working

on his masterpiece, using stones from the Little Miami River and hand-molded bricks made of cement and quart milk cartons. The castle includes gardens, several towers, an actual dungeon, and rooms full of medieval replicas and memorabilia. It’s the must-visit attraction in the area. In fact, if you want to take your castle visit to the next level, check out the “Castle Adventure” tour via Loveland Canoe & Kayak, which cruises right by the acclaimed castle. For families looking for a more accessible option, Little Miami Canoe offers a 2-mile trip that’s perfect for little paddlers. On land, you’ll find myriad options for outdoor recreation. This area is best-known for the Little Miami Scenic Trail, which runs 75 miles from Springfield to Newtown. In Downtown Loveland, there are several places to rent a bike for a day on the trail. Along the way, be sure to stop and explore Downtown Loveland and Downtown Milford—these areas are designated “Buckeye Trail Towns,” and feature lots of local options for dining or shopping. Dog owners can find a fun social outlet for themselves and their pooch at Symmes Township Park’s summer Yappy Hour gatherings. Dogs can play in the Bark Park while owners mingle and chat. Team sports enthusiasts will love Grand Sands Volleyball, a seven-court, year-round indoor/outdoor beach volleyball facility. Brush up on your serve during open court hours, or join one of the club’s seasonal competitive leagues. For a members-only kind of experience, Five Seasons Sports Club boasts all the amenities of a private club—including tennis leagues and classes, a range of swimming activities and lessons for all ages, personal training, a spa, and an on-site café—with the ac-

You’ll ﬁnd classes and activities for adults of all ages at the Lifelong Learning Center at the Miami Township Civic Center, from arts and crafts to wellness programs to computer classes. Meanwhile, the Oasis Golf Club & Conference Center is a favorite destination for weddings and meetings. The members-only golf club features a par 72, 18-hole course designed by Arnold Palmer. The O’Bannon Creek Golf Club, set amid the natural beauty of woods, streams, lakes, and rolling hills, is also a popular course for golfers of all skill levels. For residents of the area, the State of the Region Update kicks off the new year with city and township updates. And during the year, a number of annual events have become family traditions. The Valentine Program kicks off the year on a lovely note, celebrating Loveland’s claim to fame as the “Sweetheart Capital of the U.S.” with the crowning of the Valentine Lady. Summer traditions include the Food Truck Rally, and Loveland Fourth of July events. And Christmas in Loveland is an exuberant celebration of the holidays, complete with a visit from The Man in Red himself.
