A Note From the Director

Welcome to Season 103! Disney’s Descendants: The Musical has been “waiting in the wings” for two long years, so I believe it is take the stage.

Descendants long Disney fan, I have always enjoyed a good sequel or prequel, sides think they are in the right! every character you portray, antagonist or protagonist, believes they are in the right.

Perspective is everything. And I believe the best way to help us all do the “right” thing, is to ensure we exercise our empathy as much as possible. That is exactly what theatre does—It exercises our empathy.

As humans, we all make mistakes. We all strive to be on the “good side,” on the “right side.” But how often do we question or

Descendants teaches us being picture perfect is not realistic, that redemption IS possible, and we can be whoever we CHOOSE to be. Most of all, it underlines a hard truth: We all make mistakes, and second chances are incredibly important! (Sometimes it takes a third chance.)

So, after two postponed productions, thank you for giving us a THIRD chance to present Disney’s Descendants: The Musical for you and your family!

We so appreciate for your continued belief in the magic of live theatre and for your support of The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati.
