Florida AmeriCorps and Volunteers Strengthen Communities for MLK Day of Service Volunteer Florida’s AmeriCorps State programs are hosting projects all week to celebrate the 2014 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, and a full list of these projects can be found at: www.allforgood.org.
AmeriCorps Serving Suncoast Seniors planned a day of service that leverages the strength of local citizens to help tackle local problems and advance King’s dream of opportunity for all. A diverse group of community members is helping high school seniors and adult learners in Sarasota and Manatee Counties to complete their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Participants are also receiving information about different colleges and programs.
