After having Hong Kong director Cheung King Wai as the first Filmmaker-in-Residence at Cinema-theque．Passion last year, we invited another famous Hong Kong director, Adam Wong Sau Ping (The Way We Dance), to be our Filmmaker-in-Residence in May 2018. Adam Wong will share his expertise and experience with Macao’s audience, students and filmmakers through the screening of his feature films and a workshop. Hopefully, these face-to-face interactions will expand the vision of film lovers in Macao, while our guest filmmaker will gain a better understanding of Macao and even consider shooting his films in the city.
Filmmaker-in-Residence
Adam Wong studied at the Department of Arts in the Chinese University of Hong Kong in the 1990s and started making short films at the University of Iowa as an exchange student there. Many of his short films were awarded at ifva (incubator for film & visual media in asia).
