Story Ungli starts with an old man pleading for his pension in a government office and he fails to get proper response. He gets close to Maya, the daughter of landlord and she gets enough from him. After all the scene, a drunken night the two have an accident and Nancy gets killed who is the younger sister of Rohan’s ex girlfriend. Maya and Rohan runaway from the spot. Then comes Stephens (Ashish Vidyarthi), owner of Stephens Pharmacueticals who wants Krish to find a formula which can cure cancer along with Leukemia and rest of the plot is about what happens next in Krish’s future

Final Word Yameleela 2 has nothing new to offer except the same plot narrated in a slow pace with the old and outdated entertainment. Except the songs and the photography, it has nothing to say. On the whole the sequel disappoints.
ALA ELA Story Karthik (Rahul) is a software employee who is well settled in life and upon the request of his grandfather, he decides to marry Divya. Karthik along with his best friends Keerthan (Vennela Kishore) and Kalyan (Shani) goes to Divya’s village and then a girl Sruthi enters into his life. What happens next is the movie.

Final Word Ala Ela has definitely good and healthy comedy . Rahul, Vennela Kishore and Shani impresses everyone. A well written first half would have made lot of difference. On the whole Ala Ela is not a bad film and you can give a try.

Final Word Namo Boothatma is a comedy thriller based movie directed by Murali starring Komal Kumar, is a remake of the Tamil movie Yaamirukka Bayame.
The story is about an out of luck telemarketer played by Komal Kumar, who is on the run from a local don after borrowing money from him. He finds out that his father has left behind a huge palatial house in his native. After turning the house into a hotel with the help of a caretaker, he soon finds out that the place is haunted. The rest of the plot deals with how the protagonist fights off the evil spirit haunting the house and also escape from the wrath of the don to whom he owes huge amount of money. Aamir Khan had quickly allotted his dates to PK so that the film would not suffer and Sanjay Dutt could also complete shooting for the film. The film is about 2 hours 28 minutes long.

amir Khan’s ‘PK’ is one of the most awaited film this year and the makers are being very secretive about Aamir’s character. From the first look of it, Aamir Khan has managed to impress all with his quirky looks and Bhojpuri lingo. The film also stars Anushka Sharma, Sanjay Dutt and Sushant Singh Rajput. PK is set to release this December, as Aamir considers the month lucky for his film’s release. Being the perfectionist that he is, Aamir Khan has put in a lot of efforts to perfect his character in the film. Aamir’s character’s name is called PK, but a secrecy is maintained about the name. According to a report, Aamir Khan will be seen in nine different avatars and during the course of the film, the actor had to eat over 1000 paans. “In real life paan is not a habit, I have it once in a while but for this film I chew paan for every scene. I would at times eat about 100 paans in a day. We had a paanwala on the sets,” said Aamir Khan in the report. Apparently, for every take, Aamir had to eat a fresh paan to fill his mouth, also before beginning the shoot Aamir would eat at least 1015 paans to get the right color inside his mouth and on his lips.
Aamir Khan took a bold move for the first look poster of PK. He posed nude with a transistor and the poster created huge rage. Aamir surely got all the right amount of attention for his film, in the first shot itself. The film will apparently see Aamir mouthing in Bhojpuri dialogues, as the language plays an important role in the film. However to get into the skin of the character, Aamir did some intense training.

Yesteryear’s glamorous actress Zeenat Aman, who turned 63 very recently, said she is ready for love and marriage again. Zeenat describes her own state of the heart as also fluid. She won’t admit having someone in her life. Bollywood actress Esha Deol who stayed away from films post marriage, is all set to make her small screen debut as a judge on stunt-based reality show MTV Roadies. The 33-year-old actress will be joined by Olympic medalist Vijender Singh and TV actor Karan Kundra on the show, which is currently in its 12th season. Regular ‘Roadies’ judges Raghu and Rajiv Ram will not be a part of the show anymore.
Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor will play the lead role in the biopic of legendary singer Kishore Kumar. Born as Abhas Kumar Ganguly, Kishore Kumar was a popular film playback singer and crooned in various languages including Bengali, Hindi etc. Anurag Basu will be directing this film. For Anurag Basu, penning the story of the film is not an easy task, considering that Kishore Kumar was a legend.
Tennis star Sania Mirza says she does not want a biopic made on her life, but if something like this ever happens, she would like Deepika Padukone to play her on screen. However, the murder haunts Rohan and the rest of the movie is what happens next and where it ends.

Analysis The movie has been a copy of a German movie The Good Neighbour. The first half of the film goes dull with erotic scenes indulged in the movie. Frankly there has not been much space for the intensive scenes however they have been added too much which misleads and come one by one. The plot has been deviated and the first half runs below the average line. The second half of the movie goes somewhere new and it mishaps the original line. Every scene in the second half has been badly written and executed which dips down the level of the movie. The songs have been badly shot and the thriller part has been left out concentrating on the erotic presentation. On the whole the second half witnesses a jaw dropping fall down which will surely make the film one of the finest disasters.

infocus Performance Karanvir is quite competent in comparison. He has done a decent job with his acting and he needs to improve alot. Manara is radiant and she resembles Parineeti Chopra in many angles but she could not get that intensity and enthusiasm of her. May be a polish can make her better soon. Shraddha Das has been good with her limited role and all others did the justice for their roles. The story of the film is fine in a line but the execution and the screenplay which can make wonders have not taken care of. The screenplay and the narration take unnecessary tunrs which makes it a dud. The songs have been good and the photography has been a top notch. The editing and the music are ok. The production values are rich and the director fails in narrating the superb line and the movie takes some turns which are not needed. 30

After disappointing with Kochadiayaan, Rajinikanth is coming with Lingaa directed by KS Ravikumar. The film is set to hit the screens on Rajinikanth’s birthday on 12th December. It would be the first time ever in superstar Rajinikanth’s 40 year career, that his movie is releasing on his birthday. The film which is 2 hours and 54 minutes long and will be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. ”Lingaa” teaser and the trailer, showing a stylish and charismatic Rajinikanth, have generated a huge buzz surrounding the project. The film, touted to be a complete commercial entertainer, will have the superstar appearing in dual roles. Anushka Shetty , Sonakshi Sinha, Santhanam, Dev Gill and Karunakaran are also part of the film’s cast. If latest buzz is anything to go by, superstar Rajinikanth could be the highest paid Indian actor. The team then moved to Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad for a two month schedule, where sequences featuring the entire cast were shot for 50 days. A song sequence featuring Rajinikanth and Anushka was shot at Annapurna Studios, wherein the production team had designed a huge set for the song. On 13 July 2014, actress Sonakshi Sinha completed her filming schedule in Hyderabad. The Hyderabad schedule ended on 30 July 2014. During the Hyderabad schedule of the film, news circulated that Rajinikanth fainted on the sets while filming a heavy action sequence but Ravikumar denied this, citing that the actor was healthy.
Principal photography commenced on 1 May 2014 in Mysore, Karnataka, India, with a customary Puja ceremony. Rajinikanth and Sonakshi Sinha took part in the shoot. The muhurat shot of the movie was filmed in May 2014 at the Chamundeshwari Temple in Mysore. Cinematographer R. Rathnavelu revealed that filming would be done using a Red Dragon 6K camera. In addition to this, the Phantom Flex 4K camera was used for filming action sequences. The film crew shot in various locations in Karnataka like Melukote, Manuvana, Pandavapura, Chamundi Hills and inside the residential portion of Mysore Palace. How was it working with RGV, for your latest film Department, who is known for his quirks and different approach to cinema? Some of my favourite gangster movies in Hindi and Telugu are his like; ‘Satya’, ‘Shiva’ and ‘Company’ which have a different take on the underworld and mafia, which we never see much in films before. Being part of Department, which is a police story with a mafia backdrop, was a real memorable experience. There is definitely a lot I picked up out of this film. I shared considerable amount of time with Sanjay Dutt during the film. Mr. Bachchan plays a politician in this film; his approach to films is extremely serious and professional. With that wide knowledge he has got on cinema and acting and with someone like me who is very young and has little knowledge on cinema as compared to him, he makes you feel as professional as he is. His understanding of wide range of cinema is something we all have to learn.

Do you think films that are slapstick and hero-centric are taking a back seat in the light of increasing success of films like ‘Kahaani’, ‘Vedam’ and ‘Leader’ that are closer to the daily experiences of audience?I don’t think so, classic film’s format across the world even in India are following hero centric format. There are few films that don’t work and they are discussed in media more than others but hero centric films still score heavy at box office than any other films. Films like ‘Kahaani’ are just one among 30 or 40 similar styled films that scored a hit and others we don’t event hear about them. But bad hero centric movies which you hear about as bad or even if you don’t like it, you end up watching it. As

much I like to do stuff differently, ‘Leader’ was a film none wanted me to do initially, well that to me was the largest hero centric format any one can get to act. It’s not an action movie but a political drama but it is still a movie that follows the hero centric format. Which is your personal favourite role in films you have acted till date? It’s hard to pick a film because I haven’t done two of the same kind; I just keep doing roles which are drastically different from each other. I would say my role in my first film ‘Leader’ and then ‘Department’ are the films I like the most. I would love to play CM and cop again and again.

he dramatic Devdas (1955) with the comical Azaad (1955) and the historical romance Mughal E Azam (1960) with the social Ganga Jamuna (1961), he pre-dominantly specialized in doing love stories or tragic roles from 1944-1961. From late 1960s roles dried up for Kumar as films starring Dev Anand, Rajendra Kumar and Shammi Kapoor were more successful from 1961-1969 and also Dilip’s films from 1966 to 1976 were box office flops like Dil Diya Dard Liya, Sunghursh, Aadmi, Dastaan, Gopi, Sagina and Bairaag and after 1976 he left films for a five year break. After Rajesh Khanna became first superstar of Indian Cinema in 1969, most of the author backed lead roles from 1969-1991, went to Rajesh Khanna. In 1981 Dilip returned with a character role at insistence of Manoj Kumar in the blockbuster film Kranti and continued his career playing central character roles in multihero films such as Shakti (1982), Karma (1986), Vidhaata, Mazdoor, Mashaal, Duniya, Dharm Adhikari, Kanoon Apna Apna, Izzatdaar, Saudagar (1991), Qila. But his only films to be successful from 1981 at box office were Kranti, Vidhaata, Karma, Dharm Adhikari, Kanoon Apna Apna and Saudagar. He has retired from the Indian Film Industry in 1998. He was born Muhammad Yusuf Khan in Qissa Khawani Bazaar in Peshawar Pakistan in a Pashtun family of twelve children. His father Ghulam Sarwar was a fruit merchant and owned large
orchards in Peshawar and Devlali in Maharashtra near Mumbai. The family relocated to Mumbai in 1930s and in the early 1940s Yusuf Khan moved to Pune and started off with his canteen business and supplying dry fruits.
His first film Jwar Bhata, was released in 1944 which went unnoticed and his next 2 films Pratima (1945),Naukadubi (1947) were box office flops. In 1947 he shot to prominence with the film Jugnu which was his first major hit and followed it up with successful Shaheed (1948) and thereby became a star.
There he was spotted by a leading actress of those years Devika Rani who was also the wife of the founder of Bombay Talkies Himanshu Rai and helped his entry into the Bollywood film industry. She also gave him the screen name of Dilip Kumar.
His next release Ghar Ki Izzat(1948) was box office flop. He fell in love with Kamini Kaushal and their onscreen paid was a hit with audience. Kamini Kaushal-Dilip Kumar gave hits like Shaheed(1948), Nadiya Ke Paar (1948),Shabnam (1949), Arzoo (1950). Kamini Kaushal was a bigger star than Dilip Kumar even before they did their first film Shaheed(1948) as a pair, since Kamini had 4 hits to her name already and Dilip had a crush on her ever since her first film Neecha Nagar became a hit in 1946. In 1949, he co-starred with the then struggling actordirector Raj Kapoor, who had a flop in Aag as a director and had 11 flops as an actor before this film, in the romantic melodrama film Andaz, which went to become a huge success and made him a star. Throughout the 1950s he was one of the biggest stars of Bollywood along with Raj Kapoor and Dev Anand.

or nearly more than a quarter of a century, he was the distinguished voice of Telugu films. He composed exemplary music for more than 100 movies in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada films. He composed and sang the Bhagavad Gita just before his death in 1974, a rendition which became highly acclaimed. On 11 February 2003, a stamp was released by the Govt. of India in honour of Ghantasala at Telugu Lalita Kala Toranam, Public Gardens, Hyderabad. According to articles published in “The Hindu” of 11 February 2003 and “The Indian Express” of 14 February 1974, Ghantasala was: such a divine talent, who with his songs, could move the hearts of the people. “Ghantasala’s blending of classical improvisations to the art of light music combined with his virtuosity and sensitivity puts him a class apart, above all others in the field of playback singing”. Ghantasala was “no mere singer” but also a “true poet” who with his melodious voice could comprehend and did give expression to the deepest feelings of love, pity, joy, suffering, piety, happiness and bitterness in a manner no one else could, or did. One cannot help feeling that it would have been hardly possible for him to sing on all those varied themes with such intensity of fervor and likeness to reality, and precision in apprehension, had he not himself lived and experienced these basic emotions inwardly, in as great a manner as any of the great poets ever had. The “Melody King” legendary Ghantasala continues to hold sway over millions of music lovers, crossing generation barriers, with the mellifluous magic spell of his golden voice. Ghantasala was born to Soorayya, a Telugu Brahmin and a local singer, in 1922 in Chowtapalli,a small village in Gudivada taluk of Krishna District. During his childhood, Ghantasala used to dance to his father’s Tarangams. He lost his father when he was a child, and was brought up by his maternal uncle Ryali Pitchi Ramaiah. He took formal music training from Patrayani Sitarama Sastry, also known as Saluru China Guruvu Garu, and he joined Maharajah’s Government
College of Music and Dance in Vijayanagram without informing his family. He went through a number of hardships to learn music and went on to become a “Sangeeta Vidhwan”. Ghantasala participated in the Quit India Movement of 1942, for which he was arrested and imprisoned for 18 months at the Alipore (Allipura) Jail, Bellary. After coming out of jail, he met “Senior Samudrala”, who advised him to try his luck in the film industry as a singer. Upon release from prison, he got married to Savitri of Pedapulivarru. It was in this village that he met Samudrala Raghavacharya, the famous lyricist, who recognised the powerful melodious voice ghantasala was gifted with and inducted him into the film industry in Madras and which changed the course of Telugu film music history over the next three decades. Before Ghantasala found himself in the spotlight of public attention, through the media of films and gramophone records, he was an accomplished singer with impeccable training in Carnatic music. Ghantasala went through a number of hardships before becoming a trained vidwaan in carnatic music.Ghantasala got his first break as a singer from All India Radio. Later on, Peketi Siva Ram from HMV studios recorded his private songs. Ghantasala debuted as a chorus singer and for a character role in Seeta Rama Jananam by Pratibha Films. After this, he worked with famous music directors like Gali Penchala and C. R. Subbaraman. His first movie as a music director was Laxmamma.
Ghantasala introduced the technique of changing the voice pitch and diction to suit the actor singing the songs on the screen. People were so enamoured by this that they started imagining the actor singing on the screen just by hearing the song. DECEMBER 2014 | WWW.CINESPRINT.COM

aggubati Venkatesh is an Indian film actor known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema. In a career spanning twenty seven years, he is starred in sixty nine feature films. He has played a variety of challenging roles in Telugu cinema and a few Bollywood films. He has received seven state Nandi awards, and five Filmfare Awards for best acting. Along with his brother Daggubati Suresh Babu, Venkatesh is the co-owner of Suresh Productions, one of the largest film production companies in India. Nobody does it better than Aamir Khan when it comes to creating buzz around his much awaited movie. Mr Perfectionist’s film PK has been in the news since the launch of its first controversial poster. Aamir’s nude poster with a transistor protecting his modesty had created a lot of stir and had also attracted some controversies. Though the following posters and the teasers were not controversial, they didn’t give much information and kept the people guessing about the plot of Aamir’s character in the movie. The film-makers have released ‘Behind the scenes’ that gives us an idea about their journey towards finalising the look of Aamir Khan as PK. The director Rajkumar Hirani and script writer Abhijat Joshi had to go through a tough time deciding what Aamir’s look in the film would be. Since they had no reference point for this unique role, finalising upon what they wanted was quite difficult. He also had to donn used and borrowed clothes to get perfectly into the skin of the charcter. The costume team went to the extent of borrowing clothes from people walking on the streets. After lots of trial and error, the team finally got what they were looking for, wide eyed, cute and innocent Aamir as PK. Looks like all their hard efforts have been paid off. But who is PK? This question still remains unanswered. Co-produced by Rajkumar Hirani, Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Siddharth Roy Kapur, PK also stars Sanjay Dutt, Anushka Sharma, Sushant Singh Rajput, Boman Irani and Saurabh Shukla. Slated for a 19 December 2014, the film is rumoured to be a satirical drama on Hindu gods and godmen.

Gunga Jumna also transliterated as Ganga Jamuna or Ganga Jamna) is a 1961 dacoit drama Bollywood film produced in Technicolor by Dilip Kumar and directed by Nitin Bose. The film stars Dilip Kumar and Vyjayanthimala in the lead with Nasir Khan, Azra, Leela Chitnis, Kanhaiyalal, Anwar Hussain, Nazir Hussain and Helen forming an ensemble cast.
Notable for its use of Bhojpuri dialect and its rustic setting, the film features real life brothers Dilip Kumar and Nasir Khan in the title role, is on the story of two brothers, Gunga and Jumna, the poignancy of two brothers on opposite sides of the law. After six months of delay, the film was finally released in January 1961. Upon release the film was well received by the critics and the audience. It was one of the biggest hits of 1960s and still considered as one of the most successful Indian film in terms of box office collection and its controversial theme which earned
the film cult status. The film and the lead actors, Dilip Kumar and Vyjayanthimala won a lot of accolades for their performance. Upon release it was nominated in seven categories at 9th Filmfare Awards including Best Film, Best Director for Kumar and Bose respectively while winning three; Best Actress for Vyjayanthimala and two other technical award for Wajahat Mirza and V. Balasaheb. It also emerge as the biggest winner at 25th Bengal Film Journalists’ Association Awards where it won nine awards in the Hindi film category. In additional to that the film also won Certificate of Merit at the 9th National Film Awards. The film is about two brothers, Gunga and Jumna, growing up in a village controlled by an evil landlord. When Gunga is framed by the landlord for a crime he did not commit, he escapes to the mountains with his girlfiend, Dhanno, and joins a band of bandits. His younger brother, Jumna, is sent to the city for his education and becomes a police officer. Years later, when Gunga is about to become a father, he decides to return to the village to ask for forgiveness. However, Jumna wants him to surrender to the police for his crimes and when Gunga refuses and tries to leave, Jumna shoots him dead. Gunga’s death rendered more poignant by the fact that it was his money that paid for Jumna’s education and allowed him to become a policeman.

Widowed Govindi (Leela Chitnis) lives a poor lifestyle in Haripur along with two sons, Gungaram and Jumna. Ganga spends his days working with his mother as a servant in the home of the zamindar’s obnoxious family. While Jumna, a promising student, focuses on his schoolwork. While Jumna is studious, Gungaram is the opposite, but has a good heart and decides to use his earnings to ensure his brother gets a decent education. After her employer, Hariram, accuses Govindi of theft, their house is searched, evidence is found, she is arrested, the entire village bails her out, but the shock kills her. After their mother passes, Ganga pledges himself to supporting his younger brother as they grow to adulthood.
The film was a trendsetter for movies like Deewaar, Trishul, Amar Akbar Anthony which had similar themes of two brothers on the opposite sides of law.
The adult Ganga (Dilip Kumar) is a spirited and hardworking fellow, unafraid to take on the zamindar when necessary, while his brother Jumna (Nasir Khan) is more measured and cautious. Ganga sends Jumna to the city to study, and supports him with funds that he earns driving an oxcart and making deliveries for the zamindar. But things get complicated when Ganga saves a local girl, Dhanno (Vyjayanthimala), from the zamindar’s lecherous assault. The zamindar (Anwar Hussain) gets his revenge by trumping up a robbery charge against Ganga, landing him in prison. Upon his release, Ganga learns that his brother has become destitute, and attacks and robs the zamindar in a rage. Soon Ganga finds himself an outlaw, and, with Dhanno at his side, he joins a gang of bandits camping out in the wilderness. In the meantime, Jumna meets a fatherly police officer (Nazir Hussain) and becomes a police officer himself.
