OPERATIONS

MaNaGEMENT Elective course

This course introduces students to the role of Operations Managers in any business - service provider or manufacturer - and begins to explore the wide range of contributions that these people make to the organization. Operations managers are involved in helping manage resources effectively so that the organization can, in an efficient and competitive way, supply products and/or services that meet the needs of its customers. Careers in Operations Management are challenging, rewarding, and diverse, and an important goal of the course is to help students build an awareness of the variety of career paths open to someone with an Operations Management background. There is an emerging need for skilled operations managers in today’s changing job market.

Program Objectives

Upon course completion students will gain: • OM course certificate of completion (issued by Canadian College) • Students, who scored no lower than “B” will get credit if they decide continue studying at Canadian College • Achieve an understanding of all operational functions in English, and • A solid knowledge of sound project management techniques and processes, and the confidence to apply them appropriately throughout the organizations.

Entrance Requirements • High School Diploma, High School Completion Certificate, or equivalent • 65% on the Canadian College English evaluation examOperations Management course is delivered by Kharkiv National University of Municipal Economy certified professional instructors in partnership with Canadian College.
