Grade 8 Excursion Week 2014

Aims

One of the focuses of the MYP program is to help students develop as global citizens and to gain an understanding of different cultures. !

This trip will allow them to experience some aspects of traditional Thai culture and to come away with a different perspective about their world.

Most staff have excursion experience and all will have First Aid and CPR Certification from Red Cross

Accommodations • Students will stay on Traidhos campus !

• 2-4 persons per room !

Teacher supervision on-site


Food •

All meals are provided !

Breakfast: International buffet !

• Meal considerations available upon request (halal, vegetarian, food allergies)


Health • Fully equipped Medical Centre (8.00am to 5.00pm) • Qualified nursing staff live on campus and are on call 24 hours • Nearest hospital is 20 minutes away from Traidhos • Guide, instructors and teachers are trained in first aid


Safety • 24-hour security guards at Traidhos • All visitors must register at the front gate • A Traidhos guide in each group. • At least one externally trained instructor for each activity • One teacher : 10 students • In contact with Consul General in Chiang Mai • In contact with Canadian Embassy in Bangkok • Consult with Traidhos staff

• Departure from Changi: • Monday, April 21 at 07:40 (with layover in Bangkok) • Arrival in Chiang Mai: 14:15 !

• Departure from Chiang Mai: • Friday, April 25, at 12:40(with layover in Bangkok) • Arrival in Changi: 19:40 !

Students are responsible for their own transport to and from the Changi
