As member of the Skills Board, our HR Director, Tracy Plant, was delighted to be invited to the Skills Summit, to take part in a collaborative forum to discuss the work that Skills Board has been doing over the last 12 months.

The objectives of the Skills Board is: f To increase standards of training f To provide access to learning f To create a clear and consistent career pathway f To support the security industry in becoming a career of choice f To ensure the industry is considered a professional career

Tracy had the pleasure of facilitating the “Make Space for Learning” panel. Thank you to; HR Director of Carlisle Support Services, Suzanne Hawkins, Leadership & Learning Design Manager for Securitas Security Services, Cathie Babbington Leader - Educator, and Figen Murray OBE for your contribution of the importance of high standards and quality training needed in this industry and the need for CPD.

Tracy also took part in the “Re-imaging-Retention” panel discussion, explaining the importance of employee engagement. It is essential that our staff are listened to, their voices are heard, and ideas are considered. If your employees feel valued, inclusive and have the sense of belonging they will be happier at work, more engaged and with remain with your business.

As part of the Skills Summit, Managing Director, Neill Catton, signed the Skills Pledge showing our commitment to high standards of training, access to continuous learning, improving professionalism in the industry and being an inclusive employer.
