Meet some CIS teachers Fred was born in a part of Paris called Bondy. He misses his family and the feeling of eating French bread because it reminds him of home. Fred goes to France once a year during the Christmas holiday to celebrate Christmas with his grandmother. Fred's favourite festival is on 21st of June. It's a music festival and it is called `la fête de la musique´. If Fred would teach me how to say a word in French, he would teach `to share´ but then in French. For Fred leaving his home country was hard because he could only visit his grandmother once a year. The part he likes about living in Denmark is the freedom of riding his bike safely and watching his ball games .

Greg

Meet another CIS teacher

Hi! My name is Greg Lavallé. I’m from a small village in the North-East of France at the border with Luxembourg and Belgium. What I miss the most from home is the food variety and quality in the supermarkets. I come back home a couple times a year where I hang out with my family and childhood friends. My favourite food from France is the quiche lorraine! My favourite holiday is St Nicolas on the 6th of December. It’s a tradition inherited from Germany where children receive candies and clementines from St-Nicolas. In the city of Nancy where I lived 10 years, there is world famous St-Nicolas parade every year. I would like to teach everyone a word in French, Education physique. It means P.E. The hardest part of moving to Sweden was that there is less cheese choice in the supermarket. My favourite part of living in Sweden is cozy cafés and cozy boutiques. To me, the difference between Sweden and France is that in France the table etiquette is more important. The similarities between France and Sweden is that Swedish comprises a lot of French words so when I sometimes struggle to do a sentence in Swedish, I use a French words and it more likely works! By Greg
