CAROLINE DEYGA  | CLAUDETTE Caroline trained in Acting for Stage and Screen at Napier and Queen Margaret Universities, Edinburgh. Caroline was selected for the graduate scheme at Dundee Rep, where productions included: Cars and Boys, And Then There Were None, The BFG, Hecuba, Victoria and the one woman show The Shape of a Girl. Earlier this year Caroline was nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the Olivier Awards for her performance as Chell in Our Ladies of Perpetual Succour (National Theatre of Scotland/Live Theatre). The show toured to the West End and also won the Olivier for Best New Comedy. Other theatre credits include: Locker Room Talk, Tracks of the Winter Bear (Traverse Theatre); Flora’s Fairy Challenge (Beacon Arts Centre); The Fair Intellectual Club (Stellar Quines); Telling the Truth Beautifully, Greenvoe (St Magnus International Festival). HANNAH HOWIE  | CLAUDINE Hannah recently toured The Strange Undoing of Prudencia Hart (Eastern Angles) in the titular role. In 2016 she was a part of the Pitlochry Festival Theatre ensemble playing in Hard Times, Carousel, Thark, This Happy Breed and Scrooge! Other theatre credits include: A Ladder to the Stars (Visible Fictions/Aberdeen Performing Arts); There’s a guy... JATINDER SINGH RANDHAWA  |  CALLUM/DANCING BEAR Jatinder has just graduated from the BA (Hons) Acting course at New College Lanarkshire. NICHOLAS RALPH  |  PRINCE/BLACK DOUGLAS Nicholas graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland this year. He is this year’s Citizens Theatre Robertson Trust Actor Intern. JAMIE MARIE LEARY  |  ACTOR UNDERSTUDY/ASM Jamie is a Glasgow-based actress who trained at Langside College, graduating in 2014. She recently finished a Scottish tour of the play Stand By (Utter), which won a Scotsman Fringe First Award in 2017. Other stage credits include: A Night For David MacLennan (A Play, A Pie and A Pint/Citizens Theatre); Locker Room Talk, Class Act Silver, Breakfast Plays: Birth (Traverse Theatre); Expensive Shit (Adura Onashile/ Scottish Theatre Producers/Soho Theatre, Soho Theatre 2017, Traverse Theatre 2016 – winner of Fringe First Award 2016). TV credits include: Two Doors Down (BBC). Audiobook credits include: A Kiss in The Dark (Cat Clarke/Pinewood Studios). Workshop credits include: JMK Trust Workshop (Traverse Theatre).

SAMUEL PASHBY  |  ACTOR UNDERSTUDY/ASM Samuel is a Scottish actor and musician based in Glasgow. He studied at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Theatre credits include: Coriolanus, Hamlet (Bard in the Botanics); The Caddie (Royal Conservatoire of Scotland); As You Like It (Shakespeare’s Globe Education); Jam Diaries (Summerhall). Samuel also wrote and performed his own one-man show Brother as part of the On The Verge Festival in Glasgow. He holds distinction level Stage combat qualifications in Broadsword, Knife, and Unarmed Combat. Samuel is also a music producer and multi-instrumentalist having scored several theatre productions.

CREATIVE TEAM DOMINIC HILL  | DIRECTOR Dominic Hill is Artistic Director of the Citizens Theatre. Since joining the Citizens in 2011, he has directed The Macbeths, Oresteia: This Restless House (2017 and 2016, winner of Best Director, 2016 CATS Awards), Hay Fever, Hansel & Gretel, The Rivals, Endgame, The Choir, Fever Dream: Southside, A Christmas Carol, Hamlet, The Libertine, Miss Julie, Crime and Punishment (winner of Best Director and Best Production, 2014 CATS Awards), Far Away, Seagulls, Doctor Faustus, Sleeping Beauty, Krapp’s Last Tape, Footfalls, King Lear and Betrayal (winner of Best Director, 2012 CATS Award). Before joining the Citizens he was Artistic Director of the Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh and Joint Artistic Director of Dundee Rep. Other credits include Falstaff and Macbeth (Scottish Opera) and The City Madam (Royal Shakespeare Company). He has directed in theatres in London and throughout the UK.

NIKOLA KODJABASHIA  |  COMPOSER AND SOUND DESIGNER Nikola Kodjabashia is considered to be one of the most eminent representatives of the Balkan and Eastern European musical avant-garde today. Theatre credits include: Hansel and Gretel, A Christmas Carol, Hamlet, Crime and Punishment (Citizens Theatre); This Restless House (Citizens Theatre/ National Theatre of Scotland); La Suite (Fabien Prioville Dance Company/Pina Bausch Foundation). Musical Director for Sir Peter Hall and Sir Harrison Birtwistle’s Bacchai (National Theatre); Kafka’s Monkey (Young Vic); The Three Musketeers and the Princess of Spain (English Touring Theatre/Traverse Theatre/Belgrade Theatre, Coventry); Inkheart, Romeo and Juliet (HOME Manchester); Scherzo for Piano and Stick, Insomnia (Riotous); Siege (Freedom Theatre); Wajdi Mouawad’s Scorched (Old Vic); Olivier Award-winning Hecuba (DONMAR Warehouse). BENEDICTE SEIERUP AND LUCIEN MACDOUGALL  |  MOVEMENT DIRECTORS Benedicte and Lucien both trained at Guildford School of Acting and under Jacques Lecoq in Paris. They have worked as actors, devisers, movement tutors, directors and movement directors over several years and in many countries. They have written and devised four plays together, their favourite being The Nose (After Gogol). They are currently movement tutors at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Movement Directing work with Dominic Hill at the Citizens includes: Hansel and Gretel, A Christmas Carol, Sleeping Beauty, Crime and Punishment.

ISOBEL NICOLSON  |  PUPPET MAKER Isobel graduated from Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2016. Design credits include: Jabberwocky (Youth Music Theatre/Theatre Royal Margate); The Miller’s Child (Watermill Theatre); Emeli Sande’s Cancer Bonus tour and arena tour (Mirrad Productions); Dream Big (Lead Creative Schools). Design Assistant and Scenic Painter credits include: Murder for Two (Watermill Theatre); Romeo and Juliet (National Youth Theatre of Wales/ Clwyd Theatr Cymru); Sleeping Beauty (The Torch Theatre); Stig of the Dump (UK tour). Costume and Puppet Assistant credits include: Ar Waith Ar Daith (Walk the Plank /Wales Millennium Centre). Isobel was also Design Associate for Island Nation (Arcola Theatre) and worked on Atal and Penelope (BBC Cymru Wales).

TESS MONRO  |  ASSISTANT DIRECTOR Tess is currently on placement at the Citizens Theatre as part of her MFA in Theatre Directing at Birkbeck University. During her placement Tess has worked as Assistant Director on The Macbeths and Lampedusa. Directing credits include: The History Boys, God of Carnage (The Nottingham New Theatre); 18B (writer and director) (Zoo Venues Edinburgh); The Rehearsal (writer and director), Gorgeous (writer and director) (Paper Productions). She is a founding member of Paper Productions Theatre Company with whom she has worked as a writer and director.
