David Carlyle | Hansel David graduated from Rose Bruford College in 2010. He recently appeared in The Monster in the Hall - Best Ensemble, The Stage Awards ’11 (CitizensTheatre), You Once Said Yes (E4 Underbelly), Dead Heavy Fantastic (Liverpool Everyman) and Caledonia (NTS). Theatre credits whilst training include Ringing in Your Ears (Rose Bruford/Royal Court Young Writers), The Wonderful World of Dissocia, Philistines, The White Devil, Celebration, Party Time and Hedda Gabler (Rose Bruford). TV credits include Lip Service (Kudos/BBC Three). David represented Rose Bruford in the 2010 Sam Wannamaker Festival at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, playing Flomenio in The White Devil.

Lynn recently graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and is Actor Intern at the Citizens Theatre. Recent credits include Scarfed For Life (Citizens / Sense Over Sectarianism), Gothic (Citizens Young Co.), A Gaggle of Saints and Throwing Your Voice (RCS). She also starred in the short film, Cupidity, directed by Michael Ferns for Upon a Wheel Films.

Gemma McElhinney | Gretel Gemma trained at Queen Margaret University. Her theatre credits include The Monster in the Hall - Best Ensemble, The Stage Awards ’11, Don’t Start Me!, Beauty and the Beast (Citizens Theatre), 10,000 Meters Deep (Oran Mor), Peer Gynt (Dundee Rep/NTS), Qeulques Fleurs, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Beauty and the Beast, Mother Courage (Dundee Rep), Bye Bye Birdie (Brunton Theatre), Trojan Women, Medea, Time and the Conways and The Tempest (Queen Margaret University). Film credits include Meta (Matt Cameron). Gemma was nominated for Best Female Performance at the Critics Awards for Theatre in Scotland 2011.

Jim Sturgeon | Peter Jim trained at the RSAMD and has worked with the National Theatre of Scotland, Tron Theatre, Perth Theatre, and Dundee Rep, as well as many London theatres – most recently at the Comedy Theatre for Harold Pinter’s Betrayal. He has enjoyed success in TV and film and will soon appear alongside Damien Lewis and Bob Hoskins in the feature film Will (Strangelove films / Galatafilm). Jim last appeared at the Citizens Theatre in Beauty and the Beast and the awardwinning Liar.

alan mchugh - writer Alan trained as an actor at RSAMD and since graduating has worked with the country’s leading theatre companies. As you read this, he’ll be playing dame in Jack and The Beanstalk at His Majesty’s Theatre, Aberdeen. TV credits include Taggart, High Road, Limmy’s Show, Single Father, Rab C Nesbitt, Still Game, Sea Of Souls, Dear Green Place and River City. In addition to Hansel and Gretel, he has also written this season’s Christmas shows for His Majesty’s Theatre Aberdeen, Perth Rep, SECC Glasgow, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and the Adam Smith Theatre Kirkcaldy. Alan spent much of 2011 developing the script for I Dreamed A Dream, the musical based on the life of Susan Boyle, which begins a UK tour in Spring 2012 and in which he will also appear on stage.
