………..IS FOUND IN BROKEN PLACES
CONCLUSION: HEALING FORGIVENESS AND GRACE IS AT THE CROSS Main Scripture: 2 Samuel 9:5-7, 13: “ So King David had him brought from Lo Debar, from the house of Makir son of Ammiel. When Mephibosheth son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, came to David, he bowed down to pay him honor. David said, “Mephibosheth!” “At your service,” he replied.
“Don’t be afraid,” David said to him, “for I will surely show you kindness for the sake of your father Jonathan. I will restore to you all the land that belonged to your grandfather Saul, and you will always eat at my table.” And Mephibosheth lived in Jerusalem, because he always ate at the king’s table; he was lame in both feet. Introduction: Its in the broken places in our lives, the flaws and imperfection, that God demonstrates his love for us and redefines our purpose. 1. PURPOSE IS FOUND IN THE BROKEN PLACES Jeremiah 29:11 Luke 19:30 In this scripture we see Jesus getting ready for his triumphant entry. He tells his disciples to go as permission to use this specific donkey that has never been used before. The donkey was just tied up its entire life most likely thinking it was useless. However, everything God creates has a purpose. Whats your purpose? Whats keeping you and what has you tied? God has created you for a specific purpose. Zechariah 9:9 Ephesians 1:4 Even before the foundation of the earth, God was thinking of you. God wants to free you from what you are tied to because he has created you with a purpose. God doesn't call the qualified, he qualifies the called
2. HEALING IS FOUND IN BROKEN PLACES Psalms 147:1-3
John 5:6-8 In the scripture we see a man who is restricted by his illness and has a constant reminder that he's limited each day - his mat. Sometimes we place restrictions on ourselves and allow ourselves to be crippled by the people and circumstances around us. We can't look to others for our hope, we must place our full dependency on God. This man needed internal healing. Take a hold of the thing that has you and declare the healing of God over your life. 3. FORGIVENESS IS FOUND IN BROKEN PLACES Ephesians 1:7 John 21:15-19 Have you ever been broken? Maybe someone or something hurt you? The pain may have caused you to walk away - maybe even from God and His purpose in your life. Jesus is saying, " do you love me?" Jesus wants to forgive us, He always wants to take us back. It's in the broken places that God is near to us. Receive forgiveness today! 4. LOVE AND HOPE IS FOUND IN BROKEN PLACES Lamentations 3:24 Romans 8:28 Genesis 29 In scripture we see that Leah was a broken woman. She was unwanted and unloved by her husband Jacob. Jacob was in love with her sister Rachel. This left Leah devastated and rejected. God met Leah in her broken place and allowed her to produce men of God that became the 12 tribes of Israel. Leah wasn’t loved by her husband, yet she produced children that loved her. God always loved her! God had a plan for her from these broken places of rejection.
Remember, when it feels like no one else loves you, God loves you and has a plan. Trust Him and receive His love. 5. GRACE IS FOUND IN BROKEN PLACES 2 Samuel 9 Has someone has failed you? Do you maybe feel forgotten? Remember that the Kind never forgets. Trust in Him. Jesus knows exactly where you are. You are never forsaken or forgotten.
CONCLUSION: At the cross Jesus died for us and there was hope, healing, forgiveness, and grace. By faith they are yours to receive today.
