“A very warm welcome to City College Brighton. We are a government college of further education with accreditation from the British Council for our English Language provision. We were established over 100 years ago and have a long tradition of welcoming international students from all over the world. We have around 2700 full time students, in addition to over 450 international students from 54 different countries. This diverse mix of cultures and backgrounds creates a vibrant college environment and welcoming community. You will be immersed in an established British college, on our academic and vocational courses you will learn alongside UK students. We offer modern quality classroom materials and exceptional facilities, such as subject specific workshops and studios, our Learning Resource Centre, cafeteria, IT suites, gym and restaurant. OUR LOCATION BRIGHTON City College Brighton is located in the heart of one of Europe’s most vibrant cities. The city is famous for its elegant historical architecture, exciting nightlife and varied arts and cultural scene. Brighton is located on the south coast of England, less than an hour from London and within easy reach of major airports. It offers a unique mixture of beach, city and countryside. It is often described as ‘Little London by the sea’ but unlike the UK’s capital it is stress-free and easy to walk around. Student ACCOMMODATION We understand that your accommodation is an important part of your stay and that you should be happy and comfortable with whatever choice you make. All of our accommodation is thoroughly checked and monitored in accordance with the standards set out in the British Council’s Accreditation UK Scheme. We offer three accommodation options for students; half-board homestay accommodation, self-catering private home and self-catering student house.

JUNIOR SUMMER PROGRAMME We work with our trusted and experienced partner, ELAC study vacations to offer a varied summer programme for younger learners. This programme will help younger learners to: • Rapidly improve English language skills. • Learn about British life and culture. • Make new friends from many different countries. This is a multinational programme, combining 15 hours of English language tuition per week with evening and weekend excursions. FOUNDATION DIPLOMA IN ART & DESIGN (UAL) City College’s Foundation Art & Design course is considered to be one of the best in the country. This course is the preferred progression route to higher education art and design specialised study. FOUNDATION DEGREE SERVICE SECTOR MANAGEMENT The service sector is huge and growing. Globally as economies grow, the sector plays an increasingly important role in development and dominates the UK economy. Brighton is testimony to that with over 8 million visitors each year who generate £900 million per year for the local economy. Outside of London, Brighton is the most popular destination for tourists in the UK. The city provides a vibrant and inspiring setting in which to study Service Sector Management. We offer four course options:
Hospitality & Event Event & Tourism Hospitality & Tourism Travel & Tourism Each of our Service Sector Management courses includes a 20 hour work placement within a UK business or organisation during year 1. The placement will provide you with invaluable practical work skills to prepare for a successful career in your chosen industry.
STUDY Core modules within all course options include People & Organisations, Managing a Service Business, Relationship Management, Preparation for Placement, Principles & Practice of Research Methods, Work Placement and Creative Business Planning. Optional modules include Cost Accounting, Digital & Social Media Marketing and Managing People.
