The British Film Institute (BFI) has announced the 24 regional delivery partners for the 2012/13 Film Academy Network programme and Culture Works East are really pleased to announce they will be delivering the Norfolk & Suffolk BFI Film Academy. This exciting talent development programme will give young people with a passion and/or developing talent in film the chance to take part in an intensive programme of film activities including workshops; master classes; mentoring; industry panels and trips. Working with top industry professionals the programme will cover all elements - script to screen and everything in between! The intensive practical academy will take place on 6 Saturdays in January to March 2013 and during half term. There will then be an opportunity to progress onto a residential camp run by BFI for the top 50 developing young practitioners. The programme will begin with a practical workshop and introduction on 19th January at Open Youth Venue. All activities are free and there are bursaries available for things such as transport.
