Principal’s Welcome It is with great pleasure that we welcome back the Class of 2016 to celebrate your successes at Attleborough Academy Norfolk.
Celebrating and acknowledging achievement is central to all that we do in the Academy and this evening is an opportunity to share your successes with your friends, family and teachers.
Collectively, you achieved the highest ever results at Attleborough on the Government’s new measure of percentage A*-C in English and Maths at 64%.
I would also like to extend a special thanks to all our sponsors who kindly sponsor the many trophies shields and engraved salvers that will be presented this evening. A particular thank you also to ‘Deborah’s Flowers’ who has kindly donated her time and materials to dress the stage.
Another reflection of your achievement at the Academy is the large number of students who have gone on to further study, many of whom have joined us in our Sixth Form. However, academic success is just one aspect of your success. We are very proud that along with your academic prowess, you have grown to be responsible, caring young adults and admirable members of the community.
