COUNCIL Staff Local councils and their staff are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Council area and for delivering local services and infrastructure. The General Manager is responsible for guiding the preparation of the Community Strategic Plan and ensuring that the supporting Delivery Program and Operational Plan are delivered, regularly reviewed, and reported on.
Senior staff provide advice to the General Manager about projects, programs and activities outlined in the Delivery Program and Operational Plan. They also ensure that team and individual work plans support the achievement of both documents. An overview of the City of Canada Bay Council’s organisation structure is provided in Figure 1 below:
