Parents, do you have a Junior wanting to gain more confidence on the mountain bike or do you have a child that is eager to learn more mountain bike skills? This class is a perfect chance for them to gain confidence, new skills and friendships! This will be a clinic covering the 4 key fundamental skills. If weather cancels, we will have a makeup day. We will meet for skills and drills for approximately 2 hours. Then, we get to practice the new skills on a features course for about an hour. Finally, we will go for a short follow the leader ride around the park for approximately 30-45 min. There will be a 5-7 minute break at the top of every hour for snacks, rest or potty. This will be a busy day on the bike for your little shredder! Please make sure they are rested and have breakfast. Prerequisite: Kids must be able to ride a bike without training wheels. Kids bikes must be in good repair & have working hand brakes and gears. No training wheels, fixed gear, or coaster brakes. Please make sure your child has snacks, plenty of water, face mask & helmet (required). If your child is more comfy with knee & elbow pads, please make sure they have them on. Questions? Park Pavilion Rentals City parks are a great place to celebrate, whether it be a birthday party, family reunion or just a picnic in the park. There are 15 covered pavilions that can be rented at various parks throughout the city along with the Amphitheater at Valley Ridge Park. All fees are due at the time of the reservation and you are required to reserve the pavilion for the entire time you occupy it. Contact the Parks & Recreation Administrative Offices at 972-291-5130 to check availability and all reservations must be completed in person or online at cedarhilltx.com/online.
