Make a new friend from another state! Your pen pal could be from anywhere between Maine to California, or as far away as Alaska or Hawaii. Refresh your writing skills and learn about other places when corresponding with your pen pal. Pencils, paper, envelopes, and stamps will be provided. This class meets twice, on November 6 to write and send a letter, then on December 12 to reply to a letter from your pen pal.

Noelridge Farmers’ Market
The open-air Noelridge Farmers’ Market is located at the Noelridge Greenhouse parking area, corner of Collins Road and Council Street NE. It is held once a week on Wednesdays through September 27.

The Noelridge Farmers’ Market is certified by the Iowa State Agriculture Department to accept IFMNP checks from the WIC Program. The WIC Program’s function is to supply supplemental foods rich in nutrients to women, infants and children in need. These checks are used in city farmers’ markets to purchase fruits and vegetables.

Family Golf Rates
Mini Pines Miniature Golf Course is a fully accessible course overlooking Twin Pines Golf Course. It features 18 lighted holes with four holes involving water play. The course includes a nine-foot waterfall, miniature Tree of Five Seasons, and final “horse race” hole where anyone has a chance to win. Each hole provides a unique experience that can be fun and social, or competitive.
