Off-Leash Dog Parks

The City of Cedar Rapids has two off-leash parks. Cheyenne Off-Leash Dog Park is located on Cedar Bend Lane SW, off Old River Road and K9 Acres is located north of Gardner Golf Course at 5200 Golf Course Road, Marion.

Permits are required to use these parks. Purchase them online at CRREC.org, by phone (319-286-5566) or in person at:

Daily Passes (for those who want to try the park or are just in the area for a short time) may be purchased. Buy them online, by phone, or in person at the locations above.

Splash Pads

Splash pads are ready to keep kids cool May 27 through September 4, 2023. They are located at Cedar Valley, Cleveland, Daniels, Greene Square, Hayes, Hidder, Jacolyn, Noelridge, Redmond, Time Check and Twin Pines Parks.

Trails

Cedar Rapids Parks & Recreation maintains a variety of hard surface and crushed limestone recreational trails. If you make a complete tour of all the park trails, you will travel over 24 miles.

Facility Rentals

BALL DIAMOND RENTALS

Call 319-286-5799 to reserve diamonds for practice or reserve them in person at Northwest Recreation Center (MondayFriday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.) or City Services Center (Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) Diamonds may be reserved for two-hour time segments at $25 per time segment for unlined fields and $35 per time segment for lined fields. Exclusive use of the reserved area is insured with the fee.

POOL RENTALS

Rent Bever, Ellis, or Jones Pool. Rates start at $360. Cherry Hill Aquatic Center is available for rental to large groups for two hour time blocks by special arrangement only. See page 50 for more information.

POOL SHELTER RENTALS

Park Pavilion Rental

Rent one of 25 pavilions in the City parks up to one year in advance of the intended use date (between May 6 and October 1, 2023). Sizes range from 7 to 40 tables. Rates vary based on size and location. Pavilions are rented for a single time period of 10 a.m. through 8 p.m.

Cherry Hill and Noelridge pool shelters are available for rental. Reservations and payment must be made at least one week in advance.

Reservations are taken year-round in person at the Northwest Recreation Center. A $100 deposit is required to rent the community room and gym. The deposit will be returned after the room is inspected at the end of the event.

Private after hour rentals are available for family gatherings, corporate parties, or other groups wishing to entertain at the Northwest Recreation Center. To talk about your event needs, contact the center at 319-286-5731 during normal business hours.

ELLIS CLUBHOUSE & EVENT CENTER

The new Ellis Clubhouse & Event Center is now available to rent for your corporate outing, birthday party, reception, or family event.

This 2100-square-foot event center overlooks the beautiful Ellis Golf Course. It is fully ADA-accessible with seating for up to 120 people indoors and additional overflow space for 40 outdoors on the patio.
