New Facilities
As our community grows, so do our recreation facilities. We have three exciting projects in Coquitlam!
• The new Maillardville Community Centre (MCC), located at 1200 Cartier Ave., is now open and offering programs for residents of all ages. The facility features the City's first dedicated gymnasium, children’s program area with large covered outdoor space, multipurpose rooms, a sprung-floor active studio, a teaching kitchen and much more. Sports drop-ins, fitness classes, cooking classes, social activities, birthday parties and other educational programs are all available at MCC. Visit coquitlam.ca/MCC to learn more.
• Planning is underway for a new multi-use community centre in the Burke Mountain Village neighbourhood, which is targeted to open in 2026. The proposed concept for the community centre includes an aquatics centre, gymnasiums, indoor and outdoor walking tracks, a fitness centre, public art and much more. Go to coquitlam.ca/NECC to find out more.
• Coquitlam's Bettie Allard YMCA Community Centre for Cottonwood Park in Burquitlam is now open to the public. It includes a 55,000-square-foot facility with an indoor pool, gym, fitness studio, multi-purpose space and other amenities. Visit coquitlam.ca/ymca for full details.
