Learn Ikebana, the art of Japanese flower arrangement, by using seasonal materials to create your ikebana expressions. All levels are welcome. Gems of Marin

Journey across the Golden Gate Bridge to Marin County to enjoy the enchanting towns of Tiburon and Sausalito. A tale of two waterfront towns: each with beautiful views, charming shops, and cafes to explore, but each with a unique history and personality. Both towns offer the opportunity to stroll along waterfront promenades, breathe in the salty sea air while gazing out towards the bay.
Your day begins in Tiburon at the Railroad & Ferry Depot Museum with a private docent-led tour to learn about Tiburon’s history as a railroad and ferry hub. After the tour, you will have free time to enjoy this picturesque town filled with cute stores and cafes.
End the day with an afternoon in Sausalito – walk the Bridgeway promenade to enjoy city skyline views, explore the vibrant art galleries and stores, refuel at a café or restaurant, and learn more about the town’s history at the Ice House Museum and visitor center.

Caregiver Network Counseling

The Caregivers Network provides friend or family caregivers free support for their unique situations. A Care Manager will be available for one-hour in-person appointments to provide resources and information for caregivers to support loved one.

Caregiving is tough and you do not have to do it alone. Join other friend and family caregivers to learn about resources, share experiences, and enjoy a social outlet. Lead by the Caregiver Network of Sourcewise, a Santa Clara County resource agency for seniors, the group is for caregivers of adults 60 and older or someone of any age with a dementia type disease (Huntington’s, early onset Alzheimer’s traumatic brain injury, etc.).

Activity Withdrawals
Withdraws must be requested in writing or in-person at least eight calendar days prior to the start of the activity for a full refund.
1-day Classes/Events
Refunds must be requested in writing at least eight calendar days prior to the start of the 1-day class/event.
Activity Cancellations
Activity not reaching required minimum enrollment may be canceled. Participants are notified by phone and given option to transfer to another activity or get a full refund.
50+ Travel
Individual cancellations must be filled from the waitlist before a refund can be issued. For individual cancellations, an administration fee of $10 will be assessed, and the remaining balance will be refunded. A full refund will be issued if a trip is canceled by the Senior Center.

Separate Policies
There are no refunds for Drop-In or Day Passes. Separate policies apply to Preschool and Sports Center Memberships. Please inquire before registering.
Refund Request
Requests must be submitted in writing and must include participant’s name, address, phone number, name and activity number of the class, and reason for withdrawal. Original payments made by credit card are refunded to the credit card and may take up to two weeks to process. Payments made by check or cash are refunded by check and may take up to six weeks to process.

Resident Fee
Activity participants living in Cupertino zip code 95014 are eligible for a resident discount rate. Proof of residency may be requested.
Waitlists
If the class you requested is filled, you may be placed on a waitlist, free of charge. If the class becomes available, we will call you. Payment is due within 24 hours.
Age Requirement
Where an age is indicated, the participant must be that age by the first day of class. Proof of age may be required.
Class Attendance
Class attendance is limited to the registered participants only. Sorry, no children in adult classes and no adults in children's classes.
Make-up Classes
There are no make-ups for classes you don’t attend.
On occasion, a class or activity will be canceled due to weather, instructor availability, or unforeseen emergencies.
If Cupertino Parks and Recreation cancels a class meeting, a refund will be issued, or a make-up class will be offered if the schedule permits.
Class Check-in/Check-out
All children 0-14 years of age must be checked in and out of classes and activities by a parent or guardian. Please come into the classroom and see the instructor to check your child in and out.

Limited scholarship grants are available for youth recreation programs and classes. Our scholarships program is administered by the West Valley Community Services.
