Cupertino Senior Center Reopening Information

Last year, the City closed its facilities to protect public health during the COVID-19 pandemic. Many of those programs, services, and events are coming back in-person in the coming months. Some online services will continue.

Check cupertino.org/reopening for updates and changes to this schedule as well as information about the reopening of other city facilities.

Adult 50+ Membership

Membership includes access to Adult 50+ programs, services, classes, socials, and mailing of the newsletter. It’s easy to become an Adult 50+ member: • Be at least 50 years or better • Register for membership (available at the Senior Center or online) • Pay the membership price of $25.

Non-Cupertino residents pay $30.

Adult 50+ Gift Cards

Looking for a gift that encourages having fun and staying active for a friend or family member ages 50 and better? The Cupertino Senior Center offers gift cards redeemable towards membership, classes, and more. Gift cards make great gifts and are available for purchase at the Cupertino Senior Center Front desk.

Stay Active Program

The Stay Active Fund helps adults 50 years and older to remain active and engaged by participating in activities at the Cupertino Senior Center. This fund provides financial assistance through scholarships to offset the cost for Senior Center membership and registrations for classes and events. The Stay Active Fund is available from January 1 until the funds are depleted. Please contact the Senior Center front desk for more details.

How much do you know about resources available to seniors in Cupertino?

There are a variety of organizations and programs in and around Cupertino that help address the needs of seniors relating to technology, housing, food supply, transportation, and mental and physical health and well-being. The City wants to know what resources you may or may not be aware of.

Beginning Ukulele

Learn the basic chords and strums on an ukulele and how to apply them to music. You must come to class with an ukulele, music stand, tuner, and tablet or 3-ring binder to hold your music and class notes.

Feldenkrais Method

The Feldenkrais Method is a revolutionary approach to improving your life through gentle low impact exercises with focus on being mindful of your movements.

Hula Beginning

Be guided through the fundamentals of hula while learning the art and tales of Hawai’ian storytelling through dance.

iPad Beginning

Become familiar with your iPad or iPhone by learning about gestures, home screen updates, control center, QuickType, and more. You must bring a fully charged device with iOS 15 to each class. Step-bystep handouts will be provided.

iPad Intermediate

Expand your iPad skills as you are guided through the latest updates to Safari, camera, photo editing, and more. You must bring a fully charged device with iOS 15 to each class. Step-by-step handouts will be provided.

Painting and Drawing at All Levels

Paint and draw with some of the friendliest artists in town. You will receive personal feedback on your work from student facilitators and encouragement from other classmates in this freeform class. All artist levels are welcome.

Zumba Gold

Zumba Gold is a dance exercise designed for active adults 50+. The dances feature a variety of Latin moves and are designed to improve your balance, strength, and flexibility. aduLt 50+ sports

50+ Tennis Tuesday, 9 a.m. at Memorial Park Tennis Courts 5 and 6

Drop in to play and exercise while being social and meeting other Cupertino Senior Center members.

50+ Bocce Ball Wednesday, March to October, 9 a.m. at Blackberry Farm

Enjoy the outdoors at Blackberry Farm alongside the Stevens Creek Trail while teaming up with fellow Cupertino Senior Center members playing bocce ball. First time players welcome, instructions are available.

50+ Softball Thursday, March to December, 9 a.m.

Memorial Park is home of the Cupertino Sandlot softball group who warm-up and take batting practice beginning at 9 a.m. A pick-up game starts promptly at 10 a.m. each week. Fee is $50 for the season. Senior Center membership is required.
