#ENCINITASLIFE

From the Director’s Desk… Hello Encinitas,

I hope that everyone is having a wonderful new year. I want to provide an update on the Standard Pacific Park Site Project. The community came up with a preferred concept at the December 12 workshop. The preferred concept was taken to the Park and Recreation Commission on January 16. The preferred concept was unanimously approved by the commission and is scheduled to go to City Council for final approval in March 2018. We want to thank all of the community participants for their input on this project. The park is scheduled to be open summer 2019. For more information on the park please visit www.EncinitasCA.Gov/StandardPacificParkSite. This season’s brochure has our spring session classes for all ages. This issue also includes all of our summer camp information for youth. We offer programs such as Beach Kids, Junior Lifeguards, surfing, sports, theater and so much more. If you’re looking to keep your kids busy this summer, we have a camp for you. Don’t forget the Spring Egg Hunt on March 31 at Encinitas Community Park. It’s a fun event to welcome the spring season. We also offer free concerts every Wednesday at noon at the Encinitas Library. Come out and visit one our beautiful beaches, parks or trails. Just get out and explore Encinitas.
