Encinitas Holiday Parade Saturday, December 7, 2013

Thousands of people will be on floats and in bands with tens of thousands more cheering them on as the 2013 Encinitas Holiday Parade rolls along Coast Highway 101 on Saturday, December 7th. The parade begins at 5:30 PM. It is preceded by a 5:00 PM treelighting ceremony at the Lumberyard (near Starbucks coffee). “Come on out and cheer as the nearly 100 parade floats and entries make their way down the Parade route on Historic Coast Highway 101. The Parade has been a 50 year plus Encinitas tradition for Encinitas area residents,” Recreation Supervisor Nick Buck states, “One of the great things about the Parade is that we have something like 3,000 children IN the Parade. That means that we have all of those parents, grandparents and friends along the Parade route enjoying the show and showing their support. It’s a great event and the perfect way to kick off the Holidays in Encinitas.”
