Cake Decorating is a demonstrational and hands-on class. Students will see how to ice and apply fondant to a cake. FREE TUTORING: Having trouble in math, reading, writing, science or history? Encinitas students in K through 8th grades can receive one hour free tutoring per week on Mondays at Park Dale Lane Elementary and/or Wednesdays at Oak Crest Middle School between 3:30 and 5:30 PM. Onsite completion of contact form and advanced sign up is required to attend tutoring- up to 6 weeks in advance. Students must sign in and out and must bring study material or homework. Cardio Fit Basketball
This league is based on team play & continuous play to provide the best cardio workout possible. One group of fifteen (15) players will have the full court for an entire hour; three teams of five players. Games will be 12 running minutes long (no clock stoppage during any game). High Fives and good times, that’s what Pee Wee Soccer is all about. This introductory league is designed to teach your up and coming soccer star some of the basics of the game. The Southern California coastline has so many good waves and diverse surf breaks, we created a class that is all about exploring, finding and surfing those amazing waves. Step Up Surf
Step up is an advanced surf training program designed to help students work on their competitive skills and strategies while increasing their overall performance and endurance. Our staff is made up entirely of local professional and amateur surfers along with photographers and a nutritionist. Our emphasis is to maximize each individuals talents through proper training, physical and mental strength, proper nutrition, photo and video analysis and proper board sizes for each individuals size and skill level. T’ai Chi Chih
T’ai Chi Chih is a moving meditation that promotes health, energy, serenity and longevity. Its 20 powerful movements are easy to learn and practice. They are adaptable to anyone’s physical condition, even if in a wheelchair. In the Beginning class, you will learn 16 movements over a 3 month period. Special guidelines apply. The Angel’s Depot Program
The Encinitas Senior Center has partnered with Angel’s Depot, a nonprofit, charitable agency that packs nonperishable, nutritionally balanced boxes of food for low income senior citizens. The FREE food boxes from Angel’s Depot are delivered to the Center monthly and distributed at the Senior Center. Volunteer drivers will take you to the grocery store, doctor appointments, pharmacy, Senior Center and many other locations in Encinitas. The City of Encinitas presents our annual Easter Egg Hunt Festival & Summer Programs Preview on Saturday, April 7, at Ecke Sports Park, 278 Saxony Road, Encinitas, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. This FREE event features crafts, prizes, jump houses, an inflatable slide, face painting, the Bunny & Instructor meet and greet and 20,000+ eggs! Code of Conduct
The City of Encinitas Parks and Recreation Department Code of Conduct is to ensure respectful and safe participation in Encinitas recreation programs and activities. Participants, as well as parents of participating minors, may be required to sign Code of Conduct forms to acknowledge program rules, goals, expected behavior and/or consequential actions to support a positive and valued learning and/or recreational experience. This Code is also to be considered and adhered to by all contracted, voluntary and other support Staff.
Transfer / Refunds / Cancellation Policy
Transfers are permitted up to five (5) days before the start of the class/program. A $5.00 Transfer Fee will be charged on all transfers approved. Cancellations /Refunds – Activities are subject to change. A full refund (minus the Administration Fee) will be issued for any class/program cancelled by the City. No cancellations/refunds requested by participants will be issued after the class/program begins. If you cancel at least five (5) days before the class/program begins, you will receive a refund minus a $10.00 Refund Fee and the Administration Fee. Refunds are not issued for inclement weather. Refunds may take 2–3 weeks to process. No credit issued for future activity registrations.

See next page for step-by-step instructions. 2. Walk-In: Come by and register in person. We accept payment by credit/Debit, check or money order, payable to the City of Encinitas. The Parks and Recreation office at City Hall is open Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM and is closed on alternating Fridays. The Encinitas Community and Senior Center is open for registration Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM. 3. Mail-In: Mail your completed and signed Activity Registration Form along with a check or money order payable to the City of Encinitas. For classes held at the Encinitas Community and Senior Center, mail to: Encinitas Community and Senior Center, 1140 Oakcrest Park Drive, Encinitas, CA 92024.
