From Chef Anne: While living and working in Asia for 21 years, our children grew very fond of the delicious Japanese salad dressing served on Northwest Airlines flights across the Pacific, to and from the U.S. to our homes in Asia.
Our daughter, Rachel, recreated the flavors in this recipe. My husband, Brian, who otherwise dislikes salad dressings in general, now makes this recipe regularly -- so often in fact that people called it "Brian's Salad Dressing" . To be fair to both and to recognize that it is Japanese-inspired, I call it "R&B's Japanese Salad Dressing" .
If you remember that salad dressing on Northwest flights, we hope you will like this dressing at least as much!
