GOVERNMENT
The City of Germantown operates under a mayor-council form of government. The Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BMA) is the legislative body that establishes policies for the orderly and effective delivery of services. The BMA includes the Mayor, who serves as the chief executive; a professional City Administrator, who reports to the Mayor and is responsible for city operations; and five elected Aldermen. More than 25 boards and commissions, staffed by volunteer residents, advise the BMA.
