Mayor Lord awarded a Doctor of Public Administration

Congratulations to Goodyear Mayor Georgia Lord for receiving an honorary degree from Franklin Pierce University.

Mayor Lord received a Doctor of Public Administration in honor of the impact she’s had on creating a sustainable future for Goodyear, one of the fastest growing cities in the country.

“I am greatly humbled to serve as a testament to the value of contributing to one’s community and serving in a profession with commitment and compassion,” said Mayor Lord. “This recognition is really an acknowledgement of the city and the councilmembers. I was proud to have accepted under the auspices of the city.”

Franklin Pierce University opened a campus in Goodyear in 2008.
