Situated on the banks of Bear Creek, the Golden Age Centre is a dedicated facility for Senior Citizen functions and activities. Three spaces are available for rental, perfect for any event. With friendly staff accommodating events with set up and take down, hosting events at the Golden Age Centre is stress free.

The Grande Prairie Museum, is set in the picturesque Muskoseepi Park in Grande Prairie and depicts the history of the region in a first class facility. The Museum is open yearround and the Heritage Village is open May to September, consisting of 13 historical buildings all with a story to tell from the Grande Prairie area. The village boasts antique farm equipment, vehicles, and beautiful flower beds, an arbour and a Heritage Garden.

Following approximately 20 kilometres along the Bear Creek corridor, Muskoseepi Park is Grande Prairie’s central green space and well known “jewel of the city”, featuring over 1,100 acres of parkland.

The park includes a 10,000 square foot Pavilion, in close proximity to a playground, splash park, outdoor pool, lawn bowling, fishing pond, winter skating, mini golf and amphitheatre. The Pavilion’s central location and picturesque setting is ideal for a variety of occasions. NORTHWESTERN POLYTECHNIC

The Theatre Concourse is a popular location for receptions, trade shows and mixers, with a capacity for approximately 200 people. For those seeking a large, open venue, the Northwestern Polytechnic Gymnasium has the capacity for over 1,900 people, and can be set up to include bleacher and floor seating. Some lighting and sound system options are also available.

Unique architectural design, proximity to the beautiful urban park system and a wide variety of facility spaces suitable for any audience are just a few of Northwestern Polytechnic’s attractive features. Parking is free and abundant after 4:30 pm and on weekends, with increased opportunities from May 1 to August 31 while classes are not in session.

A variety of spaces are available including the Douglas J. Cardinal Performing Arts Centre, a 500-seat concert hall with technical capabilities, including hydraulic stage lift which lowers to form an orchestra pit. Amenities also include a full screen, projection booth, and green room.

With a capacity of 150, the Collins Recital Hall is perfect for music performances, featuring retractable seating, a raised performance platform, and some lighting and sound options. The Black Box is another option for theatre space which can be configured in a variety of seating and stage options to meet the needs of a particular use. Sound and lighting services are available in this space, which can also accommodate up to 150.

For smaller events, mixers, social gatherings or small workshops, the Alumni Lounge is a great choice with a capacity of up to 60 people. Catering arrangements for any event can be made with the catering contractor, and Pillars Cafeteria offers seating space for up to 250 people.
