Basic Stand-up Paddleboarding (SUP) (Ages 15+)
This introductory course provides one hour of learning the basics of paddleboarding with an experienced instructor, plus 30 minutes with the equipment to play and have fun on your own. Yoga Paddleboarding (Ages 16+)
Stand-up paddleboard yoga is a great way to combine the mindfulness, strength, flexibility and balance of yoga with the serene beauty of nature and being out on the water. Find your bliss while engaging in a physical and mental workout. This 75-minute combination of stand-up paddleboarding and yoga is the perfect balance of relaxation and exercise! Fundamentals of Stand-up Paddleboarding (SUP) (Ages 15+)
This longer course provides instruction in the basics of standup paddleboarding, plus additional skills and safety knowledge that will give you the confidence to enjoy SUP on larger waters. Participants will have the opportunity to practice skills during this session. Participants must know how to swim. This course is similar to the basics course but with more time on the water and more in-depth safety skills instruction. HIGH Fitness (Ages 16+)
HIGH Fitness brings aerobics back in a hip and unique way, with fun music from all decades and genres mashed up into a one-hour, total body workout. You will have a blast, see real results both physically and mentally and leave this class wanting more! Dog Obedience Classes (Ages 16+)
Qualified instructors will teach owners and dogs basic commands and socialization skills. Dogs must be at least eight-weeks old. Stand-up Paddleboard Glowing Night Paddle (Ages 18+)
Join us for the unique experience of stand-up paddleboarding after dark, as soft lighting on your board makes the water glow beneath your feet. We'll start out about an hour before sunset to get organized and comfortable on the boards, then explore beautiful Oak Hollow Lake as we watch the sun set. We'll paddle leisurely for about two hours, taking several breaks to chat and look to the skies for meteors during the expected meteor shower on August 13. Prior paddling experience is recommended. Sunset Paddles at High Point City Lake (Ages 16+)
Enjoy a guided sunset tour around beautiful High Point City Lake by kayak, with the light of the bright summer moon as a guide. We often enjoy wildlife sightings during this unique, relaxing experience! High Point City Lake Park Friday, July 23, August 20, September 17, 7:30 - 10 p.m. $6 per class + $9 single kayak, $16 tandem kayak. $6 class fee if you bring your own kayak.
