Thismoveincreasesefficiencyforboththecityanditsresidents:payyourutilitybills,obtainpermits,andsecure foodhandler’slicensesinonelocation.

Theprojectinvolvesorganizationsandgovernments(onbothsidesofthestateline)workingtogetherforazeroemissionregional transitroute.Roughly90,000peoplelivewithinhalfamileoftheplannedcorridor,whichstarts inIndependenceandstretchesouttotheSpeedwayinKCK.

TheU S DepartmentofTransportationawardedacompetitive$56millionRebuildingAmericanInfrastructure withSustainabilityandEquity(RAISE)GranttotheMid-AmericaRegional Council toconductthisworkin partnershipwiththeKansasCityAreaTransportationAuthorityandthecitiesandcountiesalongthecorridor Thisfundingwill beusedforplanningactivitiesfortheeast-westhigh-capacitytransitcorridorandrelated improvements.
