COMMUNITY CENTERS JaxParks community centers offer programs for families, senior adults and children. PARKS PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM In 2017, a Parks Partnership Program was launched by the City of Jacksonville to facilitate and support private investments in City public parks, facilities, and land. With more than 400 parks throughout our city, parks have special meaning to citizens and businesses in the neighborhoods and communities where they may be located. Throughout our city, organizations and businesses have adopted specific park locations to support their diverse and unique needs. Employees from corporations have led volunteer projects including landscaping, painting, tree trimming, planting, gardening and other improvements. In addition, resources have been committed facilitating the implementation of state-of-the art playground equipment, facility renovations, and more.
As part of its Giveback program, Mercedes-Benz USA donated nearly $100,000 to fund and support employees’ participation in a park improvement project at a local park near an elementary school.

A local Rotary Chapter partnered with a COJ Senior Services center to launch an on-site garden, complete with vegetables and ADA-supported planters, and related materials.
