The Jonesboro City Center is Finally Open!

In grand fashion, City Officials have announced the official opening of the Jonesboro City Center. As staff worked diligently to ensure that all items were carefully and properly moved, the theme of customer service filled the air. During the transitional period, staff went through several training sessions on customer service, enhancing the customer experience and mastering ways to better serve our customers. Located at 1859 City Center Way, directly behind Lee Street Park, the City Center is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and has a large community room and atrium available for rent by the general public. On Saturday, October 22nd, City Officials were joined by various stakeholders at a masquerade celebration unveiling the new facility. The City Center combines both City Hall functions and the Jonesboro Police Department. The event was sponsored by Hartsfield Jackson International Airport, Sports Café, Tara Package, Nouveau, Clayton County Chamber of Commerce, Hogan Construction, Fincher Denmark, Clayton County Water Authority, Georgia Power, Low Temp Industries, Southern Crescent Habitat for Humanity & Truist. One of the key highlights of the event was the dedication of the Joy B. Day Atrium. Pictures are included on the middle insert of the newsletter.
