• Preregistration is necessary for most programs and classes. All fees are payable at time of registration. Registration continues until class starts or fills. • All registrations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. • If a class does not meet minimum registrations, coordinator will cancel before the class meets.

When you sign up for a class, we depend on your enrollment for a successful class; however, we understand that sometimes your plans may change. All credit/refund requests must be made at least three days prior to the start of a program. Refund requests will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and may be subject to a $20 processing fee. Refunds can be added to your household account or issued via check or credit card; no cash refunds. Please allow three weeks to receive a refund. We reserve the right to cancel or combine classes; a full refund will be issued if we cancel a class. All residents should have access to the City of Lakewood’s programs and facilities, regardless of income. If you are in need of financial assistance in order to participate, submit an easy application online or at any Lakewood recreation center to check your eligibility. Possibilities Fund scholarships are awarded based on household income, and a portion of the registration fee is always paid by the participant. Residents are eligible for up to $300 scholarship assistance per year, based on need and available funding. CODE OF CONDUCT
City of Lakewood Community Resources Department supports and promotes an atmosphere of respect and courtesy. Appropriate behavior and interaction with others is expected of all patrons and participants. Physical, mental, verbal or emotional abuse will not be accepted in any city activity, event, facility or program. Any Community Resources employee shall be authorized to enforce the Code of Conduct, along with any rules and regulations applicable to the facility, activity, event, park or program. Any person acting inappropriately or disrespectfully may be subject to the revocation of the privilege of using city facilities or participating in city activities, events or programs. Such determination will be made according to the city’s exclusion procedures. There is a zero tolerance policy for violations of this Code of Conduct.

The older adult services offered through Lakewood’s Recreation Division are administered from the Lloyd G. Clements Community Center. It offers a wide variety of programs and services for people age 55 and better including classes, fitness, drop-in activities, travel, outdoor recreation, dances, support services and Volunteers of america meal site. The early childhood and school-aged services offered through Lakewood’s Family Services Division are administered from the Wilbur Rogers Center. It offers a wide range of programs and services for children and families, including Head Start, early childhood education and daycare services. Aquatics/Swimming Facility Locations IMPORTANT RULES FOR YOUR POOL VISIT • Parents/guardians are responsible for actively supervising children when using Lakewood aquatic facilities. • Anyone under 7 years of age must be accompanied by an adult in the pool. • Anyone 7-10 years of age must be accompanied by a swimmer 12 years of age or older or an adult present in the pool area. • No water wings or swimming suits with flotation devices built in are allowed in Lakewood aquatic facilities. Only Coast Guardapproved life jackets or life floats may be worn by swimmers. Life jackets are available at all facilities. • Swim diapers are required for all non-toilet-trained swimmers. Appropriate diapers are available for purchase at each facility. • Proper swimming attire is encouraged at all facilities. • All indoor and outdoor pools are nonsmoking facilities. • Additional rules are posted at each facility. • The lifeguards have the authority to enforce these and any additional rules based on participant safety.

LCC DANCE PROGRAM INFORMATION
Students will be accepted up until the third meeting day of class only. Please note, we will not be able to prorate any classes. Students will work on technique, dance vocabulary, flexibility, strength and preparing the body and mind in the first half of the semester. Then, focus will shift to concentrate on musicality, interpretation, rhythm and choreography. This will help the student to learn in a steady paced environment. New this year, payment for the semester can be made all at once or in two payments. Second payment will be processed October 25,2019.

Fit 60+ Functional Fitness
The Fitness Court supports progressive functional fitness for senior adults. Each of the seven basic movements supports activities of daily living, and each station provides users hundreds of different ways to leverage their own bodyweight for sustained health. This unique outdoor gym is a safe and effective tool for seniors to increase balance, encourage mobility, and reduce risk of injury. When integrated into a regular wellness practice, the Fitness Court supports core health, hip and joint flexibility, upper body strength and lower back stability.

RISE/Therapeutic Recreation The City of Lakewood's Therapeutic Recreation program offers recreational opportunities for individuals of all abilities, including dances, community outings, overnight trips, a summer day-camp called Camp Paha, and much more. YOUTH YOUTH SPORTS GYMNASTICS
Information: 720.963.5384 All classes are held in the Gymnastics Center at the Lakewood Link Recreation Center. Recommended Attire: Leotard (girls) or shorts and T-shirt and bare feet. Long hair must be pulled back away from face.
DROP-IN TOTS IN ACTION (AGES WALKING-6)
Enjoy playing on various pieces of gymnastics equipment, sliding, ball play and various gymnastics activities. This is a drop-in class (no registration). For gym safety and the enjoyment of everyone, there is a maximum capacity of 18 Tots per weekday class, and 25 on Saturdays. Trained staff will supervise and assist skills, but does not provide structured activities.
KANGAROOS (AGES 18 MOS.-3)
This class gives children their first exposure to our structured gymnastics classes. Children will use assorted mats, low and high beams, rings, PreSchool bars, tumble trampoline, and more. The class ends with 10 minutes of free play/gym exploration and requires one parent/caregiver per child.
TINY TUMBLERS (AGES 2 ½-4)
This class introduces toddlers to the concepts of following directions and being in a class all on their own! Children enjoy jumping, rolling and learning pre-school level gymnastics skills.
LITTLE LEAPERS (AGES 4-5)
Children enjoy weekly themed activities, navigating gymnastics obstacle courses and continuing basic skill progressions. Children begin to develop strength and agility while learning the basics of gymnastics in a fun environment.

This is our level two gymnastics class for students working on intermediate level skills. In addition to perfecting level 1 skills, gymnasts will work on round off connections, back walk overs, front hip circles, handstand pirouettes, and handstands/cartwheels on beam. Coach approval is required.
CARA GOLD STARS 1 (AGES 7-18)
This team level is Compulsory 3. Must have passed Silver level or have Team Coach approval. Leotard required. Gymnasts will continue to develop skill progressions and learn CARA gymnastics routines for the 2019 CARA Gymnastics Season.
CARA GOLD STARS 2 (AGES 7-18)
This team level is Compulsory 4 and above. Must have passed Compulsory 3 level or have Team Coach approval. Following Compulsory 4, gymnasts move into an Optional level. Must have passed Level 4 or have Team Coach approval. Leotard required. Gymnasts will continue to develop skill progressions and learn CARA gymnastics routines for the 2019 CARA Gymnastics Season.
BOYS GYMNASTICS (AGES 4 1/2 -12)
