REGISTRATION INFORMATION
• Preregistration is necessary for most programs and classes. All fees are payable at time of registration. Registration continues until class starts or fills. • All registrations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. • If a class does not meet minimum registrations, coordinator will cancel before the class meets.
WAITING LIST POLICY
If a class, trip or activity is full, it may be possible to be added to a waiting list. You will be contacted only if a space becomes available. Please note that not all activities accept waiting lists.
REFUND, CREDIT AND TRANSFER POLICY
When you sign up for a class, we depend on your enrollment for a successful class; however, we understand that sometimes your plans may change. All credit/refund requests must be made at least three days prior to the start of a program. Refund requests will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and may be subject to a $20 processing fee. Refunds can be added to your household account or issued via check or credit card; no cash refunds. Please allow three weeks to receive a refund. We reserve the right to cancel or combine classes; a full refund will be issued if we cancel a class. LAKEWOOD POSSIBILITIES FUND SCHOLARSHIPS
All residents should have access to the City of Lakewood’s programs and facilities, regardless of income. If you are in need of financial assistance in order to participate, submit an easy application online or at any Lakewood recreation center to check your eligibility. Possibilities Fund scholarships are awarded based on household income, and a portion of the registration fee is always paid by the participant. Residents are eligible for up to $300 in scholarship assistance per year, based on need and available funding. Physical, mental, verbal or emotional abuse will not be accepted in any City activity, event, facility or program. Any Community Resources employee shall be authorized to enforce the Code of Conduct, along with any Rules and Regulations applicable to the facility, activity, event, park or program. Any person acting inappropriately or disrespectfully may be subject to the revocation of the privilege of using City facilities or participating in City activities, events or programs. The older adult services offered through Lakewood’s Recreation Division are administered from the Lloyd G. Clements Community Center. It offers a wide variety of programs and services for people age 55 and better including classes, fitness, drop-in activities, travel, outdoor recreation, dances, support services and Volunteers of America meal site. The early childhood and school-aged services offered through Lakewood’s Family Services Division are administered from the Wilbur Rogers Center. It offers a wide range of programs and services for children and families, including Head Start, early childhood education and daycare services. Aquatics/Swimming Facility Locations IMPORTANT RULES FOR YOUR POOL VISIT • Parents/guardians are responsible for actively supervising children when using Lakewood aquatic facilities. • Anyone under 7 years of age must be accompanied by an adult in the pool. • Anyone 7-10 years of age must be accompanied by a swimmer 12 years of age or older or an adult present in the pool area. • No water wings or swimming suits with flotation devices built in are allowed in Lakewood aquatic facilities. Only Coast Guardapproved life jackets or life floats may be worn by swimmers. Life jackets are available at all facilities. • Swim diapers are required for all non-toilet-trained swimmers. Appropriate diapers are available for purchase at each facility. • Proper swimming attire is encouraged at all facilities. • All indoor and outdoor pools are nonsmoking facilities. • Additional rules are posted at each facility. • The lifeguards have the authority to enforce these and any additional rules based on participant safety.

CARMODY PARK OUTDOOR FITNESS ZONE in partnership with The state of the art outdoor fitness zone will allow patrons, regardless of fitness level, to focus on cardiovascular fitness, resistance training, and core/ab work, all in one convenient outdoor area. Some of the equipment is wheelchair accessible. The outdoor fitness zone is strategically placed so that patrons with children will be able supervise their children at the adjacent universal playground and athletic fields while simultaneously getting a workout of their own. Outdoor fitness zones are an important part of the City’s plans for the future, allowing residents to be active and healthy without financial barriers.

DROP-IN TOTS IN ACTION (AGES WALKING-6)
Enjoy playing on various pieces of gymnastics equipment, sliding, ball play and various gymnastics activities. This is a drop-in class (no registration). For gym safety and the enjoyment of everyone, there is a maximum capacity of 18 tots per weekday class, and 25 on Saturdays. Trained staff will supervise and assist, but do not provide structured activities.
KANGAROOS (AGES 18 MOS.-3) This class gives children their first exposure to our structured gymnastics classes. Children will use assorted mats, low and high beams, rings, pre-school bars, tumble trampoline, and more. The class ends with 10 minutes of free play/gym exploration and requires one parent/caregiver per child. TINY TUMBLERS (AGES 2 ½-4) This class introduces toddlers to the concepts of following directions and being in a class all on their own! Children enjoy jumping, rolling and learning pre-school level gymnastics skills. LITTLE LEAPERS (AGES 4-5) Children enjoy weekly themed activities, navigating gymnastics obstacle courses and continuing basic skill progressions. Children begin to develop strength and agility while learning the basics of gymnastics in a fun environment. KARTWHEEL KIDS (AGES 5-6) This is a beginning gymnastics class and an introduction to basic tumbling and gymnastics skills. Students will be introduced to a progression of rolls, handstands and cartwheels along with basic beam, bar and vault skills using gymnastics equipment. BRONZE FLIPS 1 (AGES 7-12) This is a beginning gymnastics class and an introduction to basic tumbling and gymnastics skills. Students will be introduced to a progression of rolls, handstands and cartwheels along with basic beam, bar and vault skills. No prior gymnastics experience necessary. This level may require repeat sessions to accomplish development for the next level. BRONZE FLIPS 2 (AGES 7-12) This is our level 1 gymnastics class. In addition to perfecting basic skills, gymnasts will work on increasing flexibility and strength. Additional skills will include round offs, back extension rolls, backbends, bridge kick-overs, sole circle dismounts, and inversions. This level may require repeat sessions to accomplish development for the next level. SILVER FLIPS (AGES 7-12) This is our level two gymnastics class for students working on intermediate level skills. In addition to perfecting level 1 skills, gymnasts will work on round off connections, back walk overs, front hip circles, handstand pirouettes, and handstands/ cartwheels on beam. Coach approval is required. CARA GOLD STARS 1 (AGES 7-18)
This team level is Compulsory 3. Must have passed Silver level or have Team Coach approval. Leotard required. Gymnasts will continue to develop skill progressions and learn CARA gymnastics routines for the 2019 CARA Gymnastics Season.
CARA GOLD STARS 2 (AGES 7-18) This team level is Compulsory 4 and above. Must have passed Compulsory 3 level or have Team Coach approval. Following Compulsory 4, gymnasts move into an Optional level. Leotard required. Gymnasts will continue to develop skill progressions and learn CARA gymnastics routines for the 2019 CARA Gymnastics season. SuperTots Sports Academy is a franchised child physical development program that uses a variety of fun games to delight and engage kids in physical and mental learning through various sports. The curriculum is professionally designed to develop motor skills, promote physical fitness, create self-confidence and prepare young children for sports. It stresses a non-competitive environment and promotes fun above all else.

1stDownTots is a development program for kids ages 3 through 5 years old that uses a variety of fun games to engage kids while teaching the sport of football and developing fundamental skills. The goal is to build fitness, muscle coordination, football fundamentals and create a love of the game. The co-ed leagues provide the opportunity to learn and develop fundamental skills in a safe, fun and noncompetitive environment. Participants will receive instruction on basic skills and rules of the game during practice sessions and be offered game time to utilize techniques.
