ARTIST HIGHLIGHT Alina Deac Pelegrin Mosaics tell the stories of the little treasures within as they blend together into works of love and art. They are “conversations” between the elements and the artist, where edges may be adjusted, but nothing is truly forced into place. At Washington Heights Arts Center, I show students how to build two and three dimensional mosaics, starting from a solid and long-lasting foundation all the way to the finest details that make each work a unique and personal treasure. Whether it is for a one-day workshop or a longer course, I look forward to sharing this brilliant and versatile art form with you here, at the Washington Heights Arts Center.
