Tamara is a certified Essentrics® instructor and has been teaching professionally since 2016. She was introduced to Essentrics® through her corporate wellness program when an employee of the company suggested for an Essentrics® class to be held during their lunch break. After trying the class, she was instantly hooked. She loved how it made her feel after class and the following day. She specifically remembers how her entire body felt completely stretched out, and she started attending the class on a regular basis. After some encouragement and feedback by the instructor, she became passionate and decided to become a certified Essentrics® instructor. She loves sharing Essentrics® with others and truly enjoys helping people feel good after an Essentrics® class. Tamara is a Colorado native and works full time as a Compliance Manager. She enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and her many pets. She also enjoys spending time in her yard, gardening, hiking and soaking in hot springs.

NATIVE AMERICAN PRAYER TREE FIELD TRIP
The Fox Run Regional Park walking tour is approximately two miles long. Plein air painting is about leaving the four walls of your studio behind and experiencing painting and drawing in the landscape. The practice goes back for centuries but was truly made into an art form by the French Impressionists. Their desire to paint light and its changing, ephemeral qualities, coupled with the creation of transportable paint tubes and the box easel — the precursor to the plein air easels of today — allowed artists the freedom to paint “en plein air,” which is the French expression for “in the open air.” Trip includes tour, travel leader, transportation and lunch. #680672-01 Mon May 20 8 am-4 pm $89

Volunteer Spotlight Shirley Hansen I have spent quite a few years as a volunteer for the Clements Center and have enjoyed every year with the dancers on Saturday nights. The dances have been very relaxing, and it seems more like we are a family than just friends. I started in 2005 helping Joyce and became a fixture. I have had so much fun getting to know the bands and there are so many different stories amongst the band members and the dancers. I enjoy every moment being a volunteer. I sometimes tell stories about my own kids, 10 grands and 12 great-grand kids. We have all been lucky to have had the Clements Center as a place to meet at classes, exercise, movies, sewing, painting, pottery and most of all, the Saturday Night Dances with cookies and ice cream. Every time you enter, staff members are glad to see you. We all ask a lot of questions to find out what’s happening next. Maybe a trip, a tour, a special class to learn other things we are interested in or breakfast with the Cops That Cook, which is an extra special treat. Being a volunteer is very special, and I hope I will be able to do so for a long time yet. I want to thank each and every one of you I have met in the Clements Center for all the special interest and love you have shown me while I volunteer, take classes and enjoy all the fun at this special place where we can come and partake in all that is offered at this very special center. I will always love and care for all of you at the Clements Center.
