TABLE OF CONTENTS

FROM THE MAYOR

Dear Lansing neighbors,

Welcome to the Summer 2024 Lansing Living. I can’t believe that summer is almost here again. I’m looking forward to the warmer weather and being outdoors enjoying everything Lansing has to offer residents! So, get out there and enjoy Lansing this summer. Swim at Hunter Park, kayak on the Grand or Red Cedar Rivers, or take the kids to the new universally accessible park on the riverfront. And, everyone knows I love the Concerts in the Park series. See you out there!

This summer, we are going to be adding a new section of the River Trail system in southeast Lansing and will have crews at the historic Moores Park Pool starting the restoration process. I know Lansing kids are ready to swim there like their parents and grandparents did before them.

Our Parks & Recreation staff do a great job, and this guide is here to help you plan your summer fun. Lansing Living is your gateway to events, classes, programs, and so much more. There is information on CART recycling and trash in here, as well.

It is an honor to serve as your mayor, and I will keep working on behalf of you and your neighbors to keep our city moving forward!
