$100/TEAM Gather your friends, family, or coworkers and a smartphone -and get ready for a night of fun competition! Each team is provided a list of tasks to accomplish around Lansing. Teams will receive points for pictures of each task being performed. Each team must have a smartphone with picture and video capabilities, as well as one vehicle. Extra points will be awarded to teams dressed in holiday attire. Teams will start at Foster Community Center, and this year, the rally will end at Lansing Brewing Company.

THE CARDBOARD CLASSIC SLED CONTEST

$10 PER SLED AT THE DOOR (AGES 7-ADULT) Show your creativity and construct a sled out of cardboard, tape, glue and paint. Prizes will be awarded for the “fastest sled,” “best design,” “...because we felt like it,” and more! All funds raised will go towards supporting youth scholarships for Lansing Parks and Recreation. Sled registration starts at 1 p.m., and the race begins at 2 p.m. The event will take place with or without snow.

BLACK HISTORY CELEBRATION

Lansing Parks and Recreation, Leola Taylor, Les Midgett and P.L. Productions present an evening of listening and learning. Enjoy hearing about great pioneers of black history, and have the opportunity to share a personal story from your life. Demonstrations, fashion, dance, and great entertainment! Donations will be accepted for the Lansing Parks and Recreation Youth Scholarship Fund.

DADDY DAUGHTER DANCE & MOTHER SON DANCE

$9/PERSON (ALL AGES) Special relatives or friends, bring your sweetheart for a night full of fun, laughter, dancing and treats. Come dance the night away, enjoy refreshments and make memories to last a lifetime. A professional photographer will be on hand to capture this incredible evening and pictures will be available for purchase. Light refreshments will be served. FLASHLIGHT EASTER EGG HUNT

(AGES 4-10) Hop on over to Gier Ballpark and enjoy a special evening under the lights! During this event, there will be games, prizes, treats and plenty of fun. Each participant needs to bring a fl ashlight (cellphone fl ashlights are also acceptable). Activities begin at 8:30 p.m., and the fl ashlight hunt will start around 9 p.m., once the sun has set.

ARTPATH CALL FOR ARTISTS

Lansing Art Gallery & Education Center is partnering with the City of Lansing for the 5th annual ArtPath River Trail Exhibition. More than 2.5 miles of the Lansing River Trail will highlight talented Michigan artists at multiple scenic and historic locations through the heart of downtown Lansing. Over 82,000 visitors enjoyed the River Trail during the duration of ArtPath! Artwork of all media types are eligible, including but not limited to Wheatpaste, Moss-art, murals, paintings and sculptures
