Run, jump, and play as we explore the different ecosystems across our 2,600 acres in this high energy outdoor adventure camp! Ages 7-12 are welcome! Join us for $30 per day or save $25 by registering for the entire week!

A Chance to Hike
This FREE guided nature walk for members of the Special Needs community will take place along the wide and level crushed-granite surface of the Cottonwood trail. We may see signs of deer, coyote, or bobcat, and maybe even see an armadillo during this mile long hike!

Pull up a chair at our cozy campfire. Watch the sun set and the stars appear as you enjoy traditional campfire fun: stories, songs, and of course, s’mores! Night Hike
Join our trail guides as they lead a moonlit stroll through the woods and across the prairie. We may hear some bumps in the night, but have no fear...it’s probably just an armadillo. Howling coyotes, hooting owls, and other nocturnal sounds will provide an out-of-the-ordinary hiking experience. Mix some Field Study into your Earth Science curriculum this Fall! Join us at LLELA Nature preserve on an exploration into the animal world, with deep dives into feathered friends, mammals, and ichthyology. Each class will include hands-on activities, a story time, and a nature walk. Register for one or all of the classes in this four-part series! Hike + Write
Journaling will deepen your observation, thinking and memory of nature. Join us for a beginners class where we will discuss the elements of a journal and how to practice mindfulness in nature so that you can create your very own Nature Journal. You are welcome to bring a journal of your own or purchase one from us for $5.

My First Fish
Ready? Set? Cast! Join Texas Parks and Wildlife Certified Angler Educators and learn how to prepare a rod, bait a hook, and casting techniques. You can catch your first fish at any age but for this program, ages 5 and up are welcome! Saturday Nature Walks
Join us for our monthly naturalist-led nature walk. Each season at LLELA is different, and we never know what we’ll find—deer tracks, autumn leaves, blooming wildflowers, nesting songbirds, butterflies and much more. The hike will last about two hours, and all ages are welcome. There is no additional fee for this hike, just LLELA’s regular gate fee ($5/vehicle).
