Color Fun Run 2K & 5K
Put on your running shoes and join us for the most colorful run you’ve ever experienced! Enjoy a beautiful lap run through Memorial Park as you get doused with water and color. This trail is easy for all runners so feel free to jog, run, or walk the course and enjoy the fun. Afterwards, the party continues with giveaways from local vendors, treats, and music in the park.

Daddy Daughter Dance: Era’s Dance
Dads, get your daughters ready for an evening of dancing through the decades. We’ll have carriage rides, friendship bracelet stations, photobooths, and more at this year’s dance. Can’t make it Friday night? No worries – this year’s dance is a two-day affair so you can join us on Saturday instead. This event is created specifically for fathers and daughters under the age of 18. Ticket includes admission for 1 father and 1 daughter, additional daughters can attend at $5 per child for regular attendance and $10 for carriage ride & dance

Home School Natural Science Classes
This Homeschool semester explores prairie ecosystems across all grade levels, with K-2 students learning about the animals, insects, plants, and reptiles, while older students (3rd-8th) dive deeper into prairie ecology, soils, and hands-on projects to restore and explore these environments.

Toddler Nature Time (TNT)
Experience the enchanting wonders of this nature exploration program designed exclusively for toddlers. Immerse your little ones in the magic of storytelling, where imaginations come to life, followed by an engaging craft session that nurtures creativity. But the adventure doesn’t end there – join us for a guided hike through the heart of your beloved urban wilderness. Pre-registration is required.

Central Park – 1899 S Edmonds Lane East Hill Neighborhood Park - 2681 Lake Ridge Road
Lewisville Public Library maintains a literacy trail at both Central Park and East Hill Neighborhood Park. Each month there’s a new children’s book to read as you stroll along the trail. Lewisville residents ages 18 and up who do not already have a library card may visit library.cityoflewisville.com/librarycard to register online for a full privilege card. You’ll need your government issued ID and email address to register. If you are a parent who wants a card for their child (ages 5-17), please visit the Library in-person to get a card. Online card renewal for Denton County residents is coming soon! Until then, visit the Library in-person to renew your card.
The Hive Online Training
The Hive, the Library’s makerspace, features specialized equipment and software to help inspire learning, creativity, and creation. Training is required before a patron may use some of the equipment. The Hive staff have created online training modules to help patrons new to The Hive learn the equipment, and to help those who haven’t visited in a while to refresh their knowledge.

Free GED Prep Classes
Free High School Equivalency (aka GED) classes for adults are designed to prepare eligible adults who lack a high school diploma to take the GED exam. These classes are provided by North Texas Adult Education & Literacy, a department of Denton ISD, and funded by the Texas Workforce Commission. Registration is required. To register, call Denton ISD at 940.369.0400.
