Drawing For Everyone
Learn and practice drawing a variety of subject matter using dry media (mostly pencils). Saturday at the Homestead

Home School Natural Science Classes
Add some field experience to your Earth Science curriculum this Fall. This semester we are focusing on adaptations. This series will provide students with a well-rounded understanding of the natural adaptations of the flora and fauna found in North Texas. Hands-on activities and time on the trails enhance the learning experience and connect students with their local environment.

The Hive Online Training
The Hive, the Library’s makerspace, features specialized equipment and software to help inspire learning, creativity, and creation. Training is required before a patron may use some of the equipment. The Hive staff have created online training modules to help patrons new to The Hive learn the equipment, and to help those who haven’t visited in a while to refresh their knowledge.

Youth
Weekly Storytime Classes
Ages 0-6
Join us as we reinforce pre-reading skills through age-appropriate early literacy classes that include stories, rhymes, songs, and fingerplays. Stop by the library for a full schedule of classes.
Parent or caregiver must attend and participate with children during all classes.
Space is limited, and a free ticket is required to attend. Tickets are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis 30 minutes before the class start time at the Children’s Desk.
Age guidelines are enforced for corresponding classes. Older and younger siblings can attend with a child who is of the appropriate age for the class.
Classes are held in the Bennett Program Room unless otherwise noted.
Family Read-Aloud Club

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
We invite you to participate in this free program that encourages you to read 1,000 books with your newborn, infant, toddler, or preschooler before he or she starts kindergarten. Free GED Prep Classes
Free High School Equivalency (aka GED) classes for adults are designed to prepare eligible adults who lack a high school diploma to take the GED exam. These classes are provided by North Texas Adult Education & Literacy, a department of Denton ISD, and funded by the Texas Workforce Commission. Registration is required.
