CLOSER: SKETCHES OF MILES Wednesday 6 April 2016, 7.30pm Village Underground | EC2A 3PQ Step into 1950s New York as we transform Village Underground into a jazz club for the evening. Exploring the musical marriage of the legendary trumpeter Miles Davis and composer/arranger Gil Evans, hear music from the four studio albums that re-defined what jazz musicians can do with classical music. Pianist Gwilym Simcock and singer Cleveland Watkiss join CLS to deliver re-imaginings of these arrangements. Part of City of London Sinfonia’s RE:Imagine series
