Winter sowing is an easy and fun way to start native plants and cut flowers using plastic jugs as mini-greenhouses. Simply plant seeds in soilfilled jugs, cut holes for ventilation, and leave them outside during winter. The cold helps many seeds germinate naturally, just like they would in the wild. As spring approaches, the seeds will sprout when they're ready. This method is low-maintenance, saves indoor space, and gives you strong, healthy seedlings that can be transplanted when the weather warms up. It's a great way to grow beautiful plants with minimal effort!
