

LIBRARY MEMBERSHIP
Library membership is free and is open to anyone, even if you don't live within the City of Parramatta.

To join the library you will need to complete the online form at parra.city/join
If you are unable to join online then visit any branch library to fill out an application form. Just bring ID with your name and current NSW residential address.
If you are under 16 years of age your parent or guardian will need to provide their identification and a Medicare card showing their relationship.
With your library card number or the library app and password, you can access thousands of eBooks, online magazines, online resources and much more.
You will need your library card each time you borrow a book or use library equipment including photocopiers, computers and printers.
Unable to attend an event?
If for any reason, you are unable to attend a booked event, please notify us as soon as possible so we can offer your place to someone else.
Temporary Closure of Ermington Library
Ermington library will be closed for renovations from Monday 6 March until Saturday 25 March and will re-open on Monday 27 March 2023. Your library items can be returned to any other library branch and your reservations can be collected from Dundas Library. All programs will be suspended during this time. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Accessibility of Library Resources
Ebooks can be set to display in dyslexic–friendly font, as well as the margins, spacing & background colour you need for easy reading. Choose ‘Settings’ from the ebook menu to see what you prefer. You can increase or decrease text size or colour in ebooks, change the narration speed in e–audiobooks, and the app will remember where you were up to when you stop.
Public PCs have accessibility features such as screen magnifiers & on–screen narrators for sight–impaired people.
City of Parramatta Libraries are for people of all abilities. All of the Libraries listed are physically accessible and include the availability of accessible toilet facilities, photocopiers, computers and printers.
