Penticton, British Columbia is known as one of the world’s premier triathlon host communities, and a bucket list destination for IRONMAN athletes all over the world. Experience the iconic course, stunning landscapes, and the welcoming host community of Penticton, British Columbia in 2023!
The Okanagan Granfondo (OG) is a three (3) day event that ranks as one of North America’s premier cycling events that attracts recreational, elite and pro cyclists for an epic weekend of road cycling in the heart of British Columbia’s Okanagan wine country. Cyclists can choose from one of four distances, with each distance starting and finishing in Penticton, Canada. The Okanagan Granfondo also produces the popular kids race (Piccolofondo) the day before the big event.
The 60th Anniversary Event is an outdoor hockey event being held at Activate Penticton's outdoor public skating rink, currently under construction. The Event is being held in celebration of the BCHL's 60th Anniversary season. The event will consist of: 1. Outdoor 3-on-3 BCHL All-Star Game 2. Outdoor BCHL All-Star skills competition
3. Outdoor BCHL Alumni Games - Includes NHL players and Hayley Wickenheiser 4. Minor Hockey and Public Skating initiatives

Participants learn through in class and hands on experiences: Law, Police Defense Tactics, marching, physical fitness, scenarios and mock court. Participants partake in presentations from various police units, such as: Police Dog Services (PDS), Gang unit, Emergency Response Team (ERT), Traffic, Forensics, Air Services, Tactical, and more.
Seniors Information/Referral and Wellness Services: SOSWS provides vital information, resources, and referrals to seniors to enhance their health and wellbeing and to support them to be independent, informed and socially connected in community. We also support family/friend caregivers who are supporting a senior with high needs.

Mar 3-12, Apr 3-27, May 6 Penticton Kiwanis Music, Dance and Speech Arts Festival: Aa Performing Arts Event of Choral, Classical Voice, Musical Theatre, Pianoforte, Strings and Instrumental, Dance which includes ballet, modern dance and stage dance. We offer both a competitive and non-competitive category with age ranges from 5 and up. Individuals from each discipline will be chosen to move on to the Performing Arts BC Festival as representatives from our community.
Sep 9-10 Penticton Dragon Boat Festival: Our event has a proud history in the City of Penticton, entering it's 23rd year. The event offers two days of racing along Skaha Lake beach from 8 am until 5 pm. It also hosts a food truck and vendors market, as well as a beverage garden. A dinner is hosted at the park for all of the breast cancer survivor dragon boat teams attending, hosted by our local team.

Operating Grant: The OSA offers a variety of performing and visual arts courses and programs for students of all ages and stages of development, providing creativity and connection for residents of Penticton and the surrounding communities.
Operations & Arts Matters: The PDCAC's mission is to stimulate, foster, and celebrate arts and culture by supporting a vibrant, flourishing, and sustainable arts community for the inclusion and benefit of all residents and visitors to Penticton. The Arts Matter Program will continue to provide exhibitions, demos, art talks, performances, art walks, & workshops both in person, online, and in partnership with community and art groups.
OFTP Penticton Produce Rescue Program: The produce rescue program involves teams of volunteers picking in-season produce that would otherwise go to waste from backyard trees, gardens, or orchards. The produce gets donated to schools and social service agencies who serve people struggling with food security, with a portion of the harvest going to the volunteers.
Intensive Coordinated-Care Opioid Navigator (ICCON): The request would fund a part-time ICCON facilitator to provide a client-centered recovery service for individuals struggling with opioid use disorder which has proven success here in Penticton. Navigators check-in with clients daily and offer family support and advocacy.

23 Skaha Bluffs Park Watch Society
Skaha Bluffs Park Watch: Partnering with PACE (Penticton and Area Cooperative Enterprises) to employ individuals with barriers to traditional employment. PACE provides emergency first-aid training, and the Society provides Park Watch training. The monitors observe activities in the parking lot to deter crime and immediately report suspicious activity to the police via a Societysupplied mobile phone.

May 28-Jun 2 Penticton Hosts PABC Provincial Festival: Performers must compete and be selected from one of the 34 regional festivals across BC. The artists, aged 10 to 24, present their performances for spectators and an experienced adjudicator in 4 levels; Junior, Intermediate, Senior, and Provincial Excellence. The five day event also includes workshops, technique classes, lectures, coaching, and shared adjudications. There are 3 Concerts planned to celebrate the achievements of finalists in each category. The festival is held in a different city each year, and was last in Penticton 2014.

35Okanagan Trestles Tour
Oct 21-22 The Penti-Con: An annual pop culture art festival that takes place in Penticton BC. Throughout the weekend attendees are able to visit various make and take tables, enter art competitions, take place in talent and lip sync battles, show off their costuming skills and meet other like-minded individuals. We have fun panels to take part in, workshops to learn new skills and we welcome film and television talent from all over BC to come share their experiences. In the past we have partnered with local colleges to highlight the expanding world of tech and film in the Okanagan.
Jul 1-2 Okanagan Trestles Tour: A non-competitive cycling event is staged from Penticton. Participants travel to Penticton from across western Canada and beyond most arriving Friday and staying through Sunday night. The event is a fully supported ride with 5 food/ drink stations on route, mechanical and first aid support on route, bring your camera and enjoy the day. The Penticton Lakeside Hotel hosts the finish celebration with live music, BBQ and drinks.
Sep 15-16 Kettle Mettle Gravel Fondo is the oldest Gravel Fondo in Western Canada. And one could easily argue one of the most scenic and amazing courses in the world as well! The Majority of the KETTLE METTLE KLASSIC takes place on the Kettle Valley Railway Trail (KVR) and features a maximum 2.2% grade “Railway Grade”, and the trail can be cycled for most fitness levels although the faster you go the harder the effort is. The course and trail goes through Myra Canyon Provincial Park which features 17 amazing trestles and there is also several tunnels.

Mar 24-Apr 2 2023 Ignite the Arts Festival: A ten-day celebration of art and culture. Events include a Mini Mural opening at Cannery Brewing, Lake to Lake Art Walk, Exhibition Openings & artist talks, Community Sculpture Day, parade for no reason, Unbox Project at the Dream Café, Indigenous story telling at the En’owkin Centre, and more. The second weekend is the ticketed portion of the festival taking advantage of existing indoor spaces & featuring two full days of programming from noon until 10 pm, culminating at a single venue to end off each day 10 – 2 am.

Nov 2-6 Nufloors Penticton Curling Classic is going into its 7th year, and is a world class event which brings the top curlers from around the world. They compete in a 5 day competition for $100,000 in cash , as well as competing for points to place them in the world standings. We have been ranked #1 in the world for the last 6 years for the prize purse (not included the Grand Slams on TV), and the hospitality that we give the players. This event was originally designed to showcase curling in BC and to help grow the sport thru the BC teams that are trying to become some of the elite teams.
