BADMINTON

Ages: 18+ Cost: $6 drop-in (18+) & $2 (60+) Badminton is a racket sport played by either two opposing players (singles) or two opposing pairs (doubles), who take positions on opposite halves of a rectangular court that is divided by a net.

BEANBAG BASEBALL

Ages: 18+ Cost: $6 drop-in (18+) & $2 (60+) We are looking for some enthusiastic players to practice and play in our facilities. If you are interested, come to practice and show off your skills.

BELLY DANCE

Ages: 13+ | Cost: $60 per month

Beginner Levels I & Beyond

Learn basic movements and techniques of oriental dance (Raks

Sharki) during these graceful artof-belly-dancing classes. No prior experience is needed.

Intermediate: Troupe Jasmine

This class focuses on techniques, combinations, improvisations and expressive performance skills.

Troupe De La Roche Rehearsal (Invite Only)

Troupe is an invitational-only, members professional practice and rehearsal class.

BUNCO

Ages: 18+ Cost: $6 drop-in (18+) & $2 (60+) Bunco is a parlour game generally played with 12 or more players, divided into groups of four, and trying to score points while taking turns rolling three dice in a series of six rounds.

CARD GAMES

Ages: 18+ Cost: $6 drop-in (18+) & $2 (60+)

Bridge

Bridge is a trick-taking card game that is played with four players divided into teams of two while using a standard 52-card deck

Euchre

Euchre is a trick taking game with a trump, played by four players in teams of two. This card game is played with a deck of 24, 28 or 32 playing cards.

Minnesota

Minnesota is a team-based trick taking card game for 4 players and played with a 52-card deck.

Pinochle

Pinochle also called pinocle or penuchle, is a trick-taking, Ace-Ten card game typically for two or four players and played with a 48-card deck.

DOG OBEDIENCE

Ages: 8+ years (people) & 4+ months (dogs) | Cost: $80 per session DogManGuy.com (775) 265-4530 Instructor Guy Yeaman will teach your dog the basic obedience commands. Each dog will need a training collar (choke chain, martingale, harness, etc.) and a four-foot to six-foot fabric or leather leash. Written proof of updated dog shots must be shown at the start of class. Results are guaranteed. Contact Guy for more information.

DOMINOS

Ages: 18+ Cost: $6 drop-in (18+) & $2 (60+) Come play with us! Dominos is a family of tile-based games played with gaming pieces that is fun for everyone!

FOOD BANK MOBILE HARVEST

Ages: 18+

4th Wednesday of the month 10am

Location: NRRC Access to healthful, nutrient-rich foods is extremely important for community members served by the Food Bank of Northern Nevada. The Mobile Harvest program is a direct service program that allows us to distribute perishable foods such as fresh produce, bread, and dairy into high-need neighborhoods.

KARATE

Ages: 4+ Cost: $55 per month (4-10 years), $65 per month (10-16 years), $75 per month (18+) or $125 per month (family membership - 2 or more) These classes teach traditional Japanese-style karate, using the same training principles as in traditional karate dojos throughout the world.

PICKLEBALL

Ages: 18+ Cost: $6 drop-in (18+) & $2 (60+) Pickleball is a paddle sport combining tennis, table tennis and badminton. Learn how to serve, basic shots, court positioning, rules, scoring, etc. Equipment will be provided. Please wear proper footwear.

SENIOR LUNCH PROGRAM

Ages: 60+ Cost: Suggested $2 donation (60+) & $4 (under 60)

Monday-Friday 11:30am

Location: Washoe County Senior Center (775) 328-2593 Seniors can enjoy a hot meal or a fresh salad for lunch at the Washoe County Senior Center. Salads and hot meals must be ordered a day in advance. Additional eligibility information applies.

SHUFFLEBOARD

Ages: 18+ Cost: $6 drop-in (18+) & $2 (60+) Shuffleboard is a game in which players use cues to push weighted discs, sending them gliding down a narrow court, with the purpose of having them come to rest within a marked scoring area.

SIT AND GET FIT

Ages: 18+ Cost: $6 drop-in (18+) & $2 (60+) This program strengthens the muscles while sitting, standing or while holding on the back of a chair, if needed.

SQUARE DANCE

Ages: 18+ Enjoy the mental and physical exercise of the steps and styles of square dance! Learn the dynamics of the square and working together as a group.

TABLE TENNIS

Ages: 18+ Cost: $6 drop-in (18+) & $2 (60+) Table tennis, also known as ping-pong, is a sport in which two or four players hit a lightweight ball, also known as the ping-pong ball, back and forth across a table using small rackets. COVID-19 regulations: Singles play only.

TAI CHI

Ages: 18+ Cost: $35 per month or $5 per class Tai Chi is a low impact exercise that helps with balance and flexibility and features 37 postures yang style. This Chinese exercise system uses slow, smooth body movements to achieve a state of relaxation of both body and mind. Improve mental and physical health while strengthening the cardiovascular and immune system.

TAP DANCE

Ages: 18+ Dance to the classics while learning the fundamentals of basic/intermediate tap. Learn rhythms and style across the floor, turns and dance combinations. Tap shoes are required. Must be registered prior to first day to participate.

GENTLE YOGA

Ages: 18+ Cost: $35 per month This is a gentle movement yoga class. When you are in a pose you are supporting yourself throughout the pose in a particular shape, in awareness and observation which helps achieve the desired benefit to the nervous system the muscular system, the chemistry, and the fascia and release chronic tension patterns and holdings. This is an easy flowing class so enjoy! No hurry and no worry!

ZUMBA

Ages: 18+ Cost: $10 per month With zesty Latin rhythms, tone and sculpt the body in an energizing cardio workout. Classes are hosted by Patricia and Shannon Gallimore of G-Fusion Fitness and Health.

The Washoe County School District or the Board of Trustees neither endorses nor sponsors the organization or activity represented in this document. The distribution of this material is provided as a community service. Lifeguard training is offered in the spring, fall and winter by certified American Red Cross trainers. The minimum age for Lifeguard Training is 15. Once certified, participants are eligible to work in the City of Reno aquatic centers or they can take their certification to another aquatic facility.

Provides entry-level participants the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel take over. Participants must attend all classes within the selected session.

Continuously swim 300 yards Tread water for 2 min using only legs Complete a timed event within 1 min 40 sec:
