Message from UCI President
WELCOME
It is my pleasure, on behalf of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and the BMX Racing community, to welcome you to the 2024 UCI BMX Racing World Championships.
Rock Hill last hosted the UCI World Championships for this discipline in 2017, when the Elite victories went to home riders Corben Sharrah and Alise Post (now Willoughby). While American athletes will be hoping to draw on crowd support again, they have no easy task ahead of them. Competition promises to be extremely intense for the prestigious rainbow jerseys of UCI World Champion, with this event coming at a crucial period for the athletes. The 2024 UCI BMX Racing World Cup recently drew to a close in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with the fifth and sixth rounds, and of course, the Olympic Games are looming.
As fans and enthusiasts gathered here and those joining us from home, your energy and passion make this competition even more thrilling. You are the heart of BMX Racing, and your cheers fuel the spirit of every rider as they push their limits on the track.
We invite you to immerse yourselves in the excitement of the races, experience the adrenaline and celebrate the sheer talent and dedication of the athletes. Enjoy every moment of action here at the Rock Hill BMX Supercross Track, renowned for its highclass competitions and electric atmosphere.
Thank you for your enthusiastic support, which not only enhances this event but also elevates the sport of BMX Racing globally. Enjoy the event and the memorable experiences that await you in Rock Hill!
